A couple of non league snippets

I’m sure the majority would welcome Dobbo back with open arms. The amount of goals and assists he’s contributed would surely strengthen us at this level? Obviously depends on what new players we’ve targeted. Anyway with Dobbo represented now I think it’s unlikely he’ll end up back here.

Dobbo's dream was to become a full time player in the football league before it was too late, I wonder if reality has kicked in and he now realizes that it was only a pipe dream.

He is still on a contract so I'd imagine Sutton will try and get a fee for him.

We know Dobbo is a match winner on his day with his free kicks, shooting and crosses but are we a better team with or without him?

Obviously not an exact science but as a rough guide to last season:

With Dobbo:

23 games

W 9 D 6 L 8

Without Dobbo

21 games

W 8 D 8 L 5

So with Dobbo 33 pts

Without Dobbo 32 pts

Former Slough and current Bracknell keeper Mark Scott is playing for Wealdstone today as an emergency goalkeeper after injury to Jonathan North midweek.

Signed last minute apparently with National League approval

Strange, I thought Wealdstone had another keeper who stepped in for North when he got injured.

Still, good luck to Scotty.

They did but he’s a ‘rookie’ and for such a big game you’d want an experienced keeper. Great fit Mark after what he’s been through plus a massive opportunity to showcase himself and depending on how he does could well put him in the shop window.

Bear in mind that Rebels were establishing themselves at a higher level this season.

Team performances have been much stronger since the end of February so do not underestimate Dobbo's contribution in the earlier part of the season whilst Rebels  established themselves at this level.

Initially I’d say yes but aside from better support is there much difference in budget, star players and grounds? I guess Welling have been a National club more recently and for longer periods. Potential wise then Chelmsford win.
