Yesterday was the anniversary of our Wembley Amateur Cup final against Walton & Hersham in 1973.

The present Walton & Hersham had their relegation to Combined Counties Division One (Step 6) confirmed on Saturday.

The Amateur cup final was before my football attending time but I well remember Terry Reardon's  swansong as a player for us in the early 80's, and of course his stint as manager - think he was in charge for our Millwall cup win??

Yes he was, also the club sold Eric Young and Alan Paris just before the Millwall game.

Rumour has it he attends with a family member who apparently never ever misses a game.

I know his son Miles attends games.

They also go to some of the away games as well. It is great to see some of the older players such as Terry. Keith White and Gary Attrell at our games.

Due to financial problems Ebbsfleet will decide in the next two weeks whether to apply for voluntary relegation to step 3 or 4.

Fake news according to their Club Secretary, Pete Danzey, who posts on their forum under the name ‘empire’.
