A couple of non league snippets

Have they actually confirmed they’re accepting promotion this time? Their ground is basic so I’m guessing from previous rejections it’ll be down to that/finances. IF they keep the team together there’s no reason why they shouldn’t be pushing for promotion again.

Looking at the evo-stik south premier division it does look a distinct possibility that we will be again locking horns with Weymouth next season.

Remarkably we could also be facing Kings Langley who occupy the last play-off place, 6 points ahead of Poole with only 5 games to go.

Salisbury walloped already relegated Staines 7-1 with Floody not getting on the score sheet and subbed on 63 minutes.

The logic is that they’re in a desperate financial situation and by broadcasting it far and wide it may assist them in finding new investment. Considering their chairman (plus 2 other club officials) is leaving at the end of this season it’s obviously an urgent matter that can’t be left until the end of the season.

And you don’t think that:-

1. the announcement might have a negative impact on the manager & players?

2. a new investor or owner will likely want some certainty about what level the club will be at next season?

I would have thought they would have delayed for a few weeks or been more discrete.

And if they are that desperate, didn’t the OWNA FC deal with Hednesford collapse?

1. Have a look at their recent form...

2. They’re 2 points above safety so have a decent chance of staying up, giving them the best possible chance of investment.

If you read their forum the Hednesford fans were celebrating that deal didn’t go through. It sounds very shady and many who bought into it didn’t realise they’re £50 investment didn’t give them any power which seems misleading to what was said previously.

Happy for Hungerford to survive because it's not far to go or to get relegated because of their poor pitch and poor facilities?

TBH they've been punching above their weight for a few years now and with the gates they get they will continue to struggle with the costs involved in playing at a high level.

Unless someone comes in with money to burn why would any business man pump money into Hungerford?
