Our landlords will be known as Beaconsfield Town from now on having dropped 'SYCOB'. They've also appointed a new chairman and board members.

 

 

Thought I read somewhere that calling them Beaconsfield Town was an error on the leagues part?

Funny you should say that 3spirit because I can't remember   :lol: 

 

I read it somewhere yesterday or the day before and I can't think where. Since then I've been checking the appropriate web-sites and there nothing about Frendo's move to Dunstable.

 

Having said that St Albans haven't confirmed he's staying or going so I guess it's watch this space   :D

Bit ironic that, as far as I'm aware, SYCOB is the original football club based in Slough and Beaconsfield is not really a football town, hence the lack of supporters.

 

I think it's a good move to change their name.

I think I will take in a quite a few Central games this season,when Slough are away clocking up the miles. Homer that I've become!

 

Wonder who Beaconsfield appoint as their manager?  If it's a good appointment,I'll probably end up there.

Luke Knight is to captain St Ives next season and they have also signed Steve Gentle from Biggleswade.

 

Luke's time with us didn't really go to plan,did it? Unlucky with that injury and struggled with being played out of his position.

He started to improve in the last couple of games for us but things weren't to be. 

 

Good to see he's on the rise again.Seemed a nice bloke and deserves a bit of luck. St Ives probably haven't got the options in midfield that we had at the time,so Luke's going to be a star there.

Given his experience,should be a good captain in this newish Central team.

As I understand it Beaconsfield was set up mainly of SYSOB Team, Management and Officials.

 

So not sure now,  as a long time has pasted if they'll stay.
