Strange how Perry's form has dipped since he left us.

You'd have put your money on him scoring lots of goals when back at Farnborough or any club below our level.

You're right, RR. Puzzling, isn't it. That's football for you, though, one team's player of the season can be another team's flop ! Even the best managers get it wrong from time to time.

Spurs have been great at it. Think Serge Rebrov, Helder Postiga and Vincent Janssen ! ha ha!

Strong rumour on the Woking forum they are signing Dave Tarpey on loan from Barnet.

They will be... we were in for him about 10 days ago and had conversations with him and his agent, however it was the fact that he is coming back from ACL and playing on the 3G which they have advised not to meant the loan was scuppered.

Unpleasant scenes at Kings Lynn today  Stephen Cleeve spoke twice to the Alvechurch chairman today assuring him the game would be on and that no local ref pitch inspection was necessary as both he and their groundsman  had inspected it and it was fine  Alvechurch travelled and the game was called off by the match referee because although most was playable an area sheltered by the stand was frozen solid Both clubs Twitterfeed up in arms about this

I know Tarpey has had his injury issues but if we’re in the market for that calibre of players then that’s very encouraging and certainly the standard of player I’d hope we can bring in. This has given me great optimism for the potential signings this week ?

Don’t get too excited Glen ? players like Dave Tarpey are few and far between.... would have been a brilliant signing, however for once the pitch was against us.

No surprise Sholing won again, and I expect them to win the trophy, we are watching their progress with great interest...........

Ebbsfleet United players have issued a statement in response to the club continually saying they are financially secure.

Medical insurance premiums were not paid by the club resulting in players unknowingly playing 3 games without any medical cover.

Pension payments were collected from salaries but have not been forwarded since June 2018.

Players have only been paid once on time in the last 12 months.

Quite a testament to the players that they are in 10th position and still in with a shout of the play-offs.

Have to say on paper Dave Tarpey would have been a real coup but looking at it logically it was a loan signing and apart from his agents fee would more than likely have cost a small fortune in wages.

I haven't seen much of Dave Tarpey to know whether he would have been good or not but to be honest, I would rather we get a forward who hasn't got major injury worries, and someone we can keep for next season.
