Fun and games at the final whistle at Biggleswade.

Ex Wealdstone player Matt Ball scores the winner for Biggleswade and according to the Wealdstone forum runs 50 yards to celebrate in front of the away fans resulting in a punch up between players and away supporters.

Matty Stevens was an unused sub for Peterborough yesterday.

Lets hope he gets his chance over the busy Christmas period.

Bedford are a level below Becky so the goal machine has obviously gone there to improve himself.

With the travelling involved I'd be surprised if he lasts the rest of the season.

After their 4-0 thrashing at Truro, Weston S M are refunding entrance fees to all supporters who travelled.

They are also making the players train every day over Christmas except Xmas day as a punishment for such a poor performance.

Also Aldershot was a complete academy team, which also highlights for me the vast difference between a national premier academy team and even a step 4 non league team, and furthers the reason why we don't have one, as the gap is huge.

The game's gone if a respected National League side like Aldershot  resort to putting out and effectively throwing a game in the premier non-league cup competition.

I hope their supporters were warned before travelling that  was the clubs intention.

They only have 10 fit senior players and did put out a club statement in advance explaining that this was their plan. Better than pulling out of the competition completely like Needham Market did.

Surely for the clubs reputation and supporters pride they could have mixed the first teamers with the youth say 50/50 ?

I think for Aldershot it is about staying in the league this season.

In Aldershot’s case this season more about surviving in the Conference Premier.

It is not unusual for the Conference Premier teams challenging for promotion or battling against relegation to exit the FA Trophy early..... and this does provide opportunities for mid table Conference Premier, and clubs near the top of the North & South to make the final.

Seems like an eventful boxing day game at Farnborough v Hartley Wintney.

Perry Coles and Nathan Smart were the respective captains.

Perry Coles scored giving F'borough the lead and then received a straight red card for retaliation, Hartley Wintney missed a penalty and then equalized in the 89th minute.
