Maidenhead having lost 6-0 to Fylde last Saturday lost 7-0 to relegation zone Havant  last night They lost their goalkeeper for handling outside the area at 1-0  then conceded 3 goals in 4 minutes  Not confidence building as they prepare for Portsmouth!

Sounds a touch draconiam to me.

Any reason given for this action ?

As far as I can tell, the stewards told them that it is a segregated ground regardless of the teams playing, so they have to abide by those rules.

Kind of like telling you to not stand on the hatched area   when you are the only one there !

The word 'Jobsworth' springs to mind.

Maidenhead in free fall at present, with six consecutive league defeats scoring 1 and conceding 23..... losing their last two to sides that were in the relegation zone, and slipping into the bottom four themselves.

Possibly a mixture of having players sent off and taking their foot off the pedal in anticipation of the Portsmouth game.

If that's a decision based on results it's very strange, five points from their last three league matches, and an FA Cup 1st Round match coming up on Saturday.

There has been a lot of talk about them financially re-structuring and becoming self sufficient though, after a period of five years with losses of about £2 million a year.

My guess is he was sacked purely for financial reasons as he was full time on by all accounts a hefty contract. The fact they’re 15th have the club an easier reason to sack him. You can bet it won’t be a high profile big wages replacement. Don’t answer their calls Neil & Jon!

Ben Strevens, new manager at Eastleigh .  Played for Slough, on loan from Barnet for a few games, when very young.

But was he above 6ft more importantly ?

He was actually, and even when young looked a handful. It's a pity we couldn't have got him again, when he was older and banging in the goals.
