Lench on the bench again for Wealdstone yesterday and only coming on for the last 10 minutes.

I think it's been only one start this season so far for Lenchy.

Goal of the day yesterday has to be Dartford GK Deren Ibrahim scoring direct from a free kick inside his own half away to Chippenham.

Curtis Truro have given Torquay notice of their intention to withdraw from their groundshare agreement!

But they've not suggested they have an alternative  Its thought they hope Torquay will let them play for free as their "home" support has all but vanished

The rumour is that Truro's new ground is being delayed and as such they will be allowed to move back to their old ground until things start moving again.

RR thanks for that. The local press did suggest that the consortium who were going to fund the development simply didn't have the cash. looks like that may be true

Adrian, I think supporters were entitled to ask questions when Matt Lench left because I'm sure it was not done based upon ability alone.

Likewise with Perry Coles My point was given their relative failure at their new clubs Did Slough Town need them or did they need Slough Town?

Interesting article on Twitter about local footballer Nathan Minhas who has played as a youngster for Maidenhead, more recently for Beaconsfield and currently for Ascot United.

It seems he's signed a two year contract for Billericay starting next season.

Seems a bit of a strange one signing for a team in Essex given that presumably he lives locally.

Why is that strange RR? You do know what financial clout they have right? He could live in Liverpool, and if they wanted him they would get him.

Nothing strange about the contract with Billericay from the contract point of view. The strange part is we've seen a fair bit of Nathan Minhas and I'm not convinced he is anywhere near good enough for our league, let alone the conference national (which is clearly where they want to be playing next season).

Will watch that one with interest.

You could be right SF.

Having said that surely Billericay must have scouted him to think he's good enough and to give him a two year contract.

Probably won't be on anywhere near the money that their other seasoned/ex pro players are on and I'm sure there will be a few 'other details' and 'get out clauses' in his contract.

Doesn't mean a thing,Irishadrian. Failing at Slough or at their new clubs doesn't mean they can't do a good job for another team in this division. It just comes down to tactics and what the manager wants them to do. I thought we let both of them go prematurely but could understand why we opted to lose Perry Coles.

However, for me the reasons for Matt Lench's departure seemed to fly in the face of what you do when you get promoted ie you don't get rid of your best players.

I still think he is a class player whether Wealdstone pick him or not. The thing about Matt is he is a bit of a maverick and not many managers can deal with mavericks. If he were to come available I would have thought someone like Gary McCann would take a chance on Matt Lench. To me he offers a team a lot.
