Well it was last season! If we get favourable draws and we’re quite likely to draw lower league opposition then 3 wins is certainly achievable.

I have often wondered how English non league football compares to the Scottish leagues and yesterday provided an opportunity to draw a comparison as Sutton Utd & Boreham Wood entered the Irn Bru Cup at the Second Round.

 

Boreham Wood (the club we beat in a pre-season friendly) were at home to Dunfermline (bottom half of the Scottish Championship) and after a 0-0 draw lost 6-5 on penalties, and Sutton Utd travelled away to Airdrie (top half of Scotttish League One) and won 1-0.

 

Two results alone might not provide a great deal of comparison, but it will be interesting to see who Sutton Utd draw in the last sixteen and how they do.

On the same bit of news on the Chesham site, Bradley Clayton is still at Chesham but is trialing for QPR and Brad Wadkins is awaiting a scan on his injury.

Cleeve has said this evening that he will get it right this time and only consider candidates who have already won promotions at KLs level

I think we’ll all have a wry smile over this news. It’s amazing that just 4 months ago we were level standings with KL and now we’re so far apart and who knows could be divisions apart next season. Wouldn’t be surprised if he quits which could leave them in free fall.
