Thatcham clinched promotion from the Hellenic last night beating long time leaders Highworth 2-0 away. There is talk that 3 will be promoted from this league, If so it will be Thatcham, Bracknell and Wantage.

Marlow Chairman Terry Staines has now said at a meeting with squad members to discuss the co ordinated no show at Ashford that the cause was the result of mis information given by a third party to squad members A major sponsor was lost at Xmas and the budget substantially reduced and players were told a new sponsor had injected money which would not benefit players Terry Stained says this is untrue although negotiations with potential sponsors continue Marlow are due at Chalfont tonight so we'll see if its resolved
