Busy little period coming up for Hitchin.

 

They've just re-arranged their game with Hereford for this Thursday, then it's Kettering on Saturday, us on the Monday and then a cup final on Wednesday.

 

Against top 5 sides as well. Hopefully  knackered by Monday, Will they focus more on the cup final?

This is just annoying now - 7 day extension not applying to clubs in playoff contention.

 

We could have done with a little relief a month or 2 ago.

 

To put into context though.....it is only available if you have more than 3 games per week to fulfil. We have never been in that position

Still no video. However if you go on their forum most of the supporters ( those supporters that are left) are now calling for a change in management.

As you may have seen elsewhere Marlow failed to turn up to play Ashford yesterday and the referee had to call the game off Marlow have now issued a statement in which they claim that only 1 member of the selected squad had turned up an hour before the game and Mark Bartley tried ringing them all to find none answered They claim they know of no issues that would have prompted that behaviour I find that unbelievable and wonder why they haven't visited players homes They now show it on their website as postponed but I believe they should forfeit the points What do others think?

I cannot believe only one player turned up from a squad of players.

 

With only a few games left why wouldn't players want a game until the end of the season.

In the Hellenic Prem, If Bracknell & Thatcham both win all their remaining games they will both finish on 98 points. However Thatcham have the advantage as they have a 16 goal better difference. Thatcham have 3 to play and Bracknell have 5. Interesting finish coming up.

Yeah read that about the Marlow match and was quite surprised. Very strange and it seems like a boycott especially if none were contactable. Obviously one wasn’t party to the plans or is a Rebel! But yes you’d expect the points to be given to the other team in this situation. Obviously harsh on the club when they had no idea and could do nothing to stop it. Surely all the offending players should be sacked for this if they ever get back in contact with them?

Or did they only have 7/8/9 players and decided not to turn up?

 

It beggars belief that only one player turned up.
