A couple of non league snippets

Bracknell have now made an official statement confirming that the management team has been sacked. They are seeing out the season with a senior player in charge.  Looks like the rest of the season has been written off now they are out of the FA Vase.  Very Strange decision. I wonder if they have sorted a new manager but he is remaining at his present club for this season.

Who Knows whats going on !!!!!.

After sacking himself Glen Tamplin has now re-instated himself as manager to the end of the season

I understood that it was because THE CLUB refused to accept his resignation.

A very strange state of affairs.

  • 2 weeks later...

Billericay beat Dorking Wanderers 1-0 last night on Aveley's 3G pitch to go top of the Bostik premier and were rewarded with an attendance 279 their lowest of the season.

After paying costs to Aveley, Mr Tamplin must of been a few grand light in the pocket.

A bit more bad news for Marc White and Wanderers.  The opening of the new Meadowbank stadium has now been put off 'indefinitely'.  More contractor problems.  This could jeopodize Wanderers League status on the opening of the 2018/2019 season if they have to continue using their current Westhumble ground.

More information available on the 'Get Surrey' web-site.

Yeah read that Big JR. Seens the grand opening has been put back several times and now they’re in real danger of being relegated at it won’t be open in time. I guess they’ll need to groundshare to avoid the relegation penalty, who’s the nearest with the required grading? It’s mad Dorking have 2 grounds but neither are good enough or available!

I'm afraid the whole thing has gone long past being a joke.

Still  -  As my allegiences are currently with Corinthian Casuals, as Sir Billy Connoly says on occasions, "Care I not a jot" !!

They’ve done well to secure this deal as their pitch has improved massively and I understand is regularly maintained by the pros at Watford. Not sure what other ground improvements they need as if it’s up to the standard then why spend more when it’s perfectly adequate for their standing?

The seating stand on the left, as you look from the clubhouse is currently a temporary structure that was put up to get the required seats in time.

That will be coming down and a brand new stand is to be installed. Most of the ground works for it is complete, as was seen when we played there
