A couple of non league snippets

With ‘the beast’ arriving early next week it’s quite likely the Royston game will be postponed. Someone said we only have 1 midweek slot left but also have the B&B Cup to fit in. Does the county cup take priority over league games as that’ll mean we’ll have at least one Thursday league game.

'The Beast' arriving next week? I thought he was injured

Brown tweeted just over 20 mins ago that he HASNT left Hungerford although the club website says he has ! ?????

Seems Stefan Brown only tweeted that he hadn't left Hungerford because he hadn't agreed to. He's now tweeted that he's agreed to leave due to financial constraints.

Paul Stonehouse has now left Hungerford to join his old manager Mick Ford at Banbury.

Have to laugh when I look at the Wealdstone forum after a game.

They lost 2-1 at home to Gloucester in midweek and the vast majority said that most of the players should be either be sacked now or let go at the end of the season along with their manager Bobby Wilkinson.

Today they have beaten a Billericay team who are a division below, in the in the Trophy and guess what every player is a hero including the manager.

The word 'fickle' was made for the Wealdstone supporters.

I’d rather they dock Hereford points!

Quite right Glen, and if the Leage and the F.A had the b@lls, make Hereford play a set number of home matches behind closed doors.  That penalty, (pardon the pun), really hits home.

Is there a time warp in Dorking? - That part of Surrey does look like it's from the 1940's and I know you only recently got electricity down that way.

So please keep up to date Big JR

I am really trying too, but it's not easy when the new, (old ?) Meadowbank stadium STILL isn't complete and now looking to a March date for acceptance by the local Council.

Then there is the builders overspend of £1.5 MILLION to date (and presumably still counting, according to my spies), one has to wonder how the beleagured council tax payers of Mole Valley will react.

You ask if we Dorkinians live in a time-warp ??  We certainly live in something, but a time-warp it definitely ain't  !!

I see Glenn Tamplin has quit as manager of Billericay Intended to "fine" players a weeks money due to recent poor performances When they told him to "foxtrot oscar" he stepped down This decision may not be unrelated to his being once again a person of interest to our Old friend Bill.

He's made himself assistant manager and say's he'll still have some presence at games.

Just watched the goals in their defeat to Wealdstone and have to say the Ricay keeper has had a mare.

According to reports this morning, Following their FA Vase defeat on Saturday in front of a 1,000 plus crowd Bracknell Town have sacked their Manager. If this is true what on earth is going on there.  The Manager has tweeted that he received the news this morning by e-mail from the Chairman. It makes you wonder what is expected from non league managers in this day and age.

Good to see Thatcham Town make the Semis of the Vase. Would be great to see them get to Wembley.

Unbelievable when they are still going for one of two promotion places and are still in the league and floodlight cups.

Not sure it’s about results more conduct?

Don't think it was anything to do with conduct.

Nothing official from the club but it does seem that the Chairman etc were not happy with the tactics they employed against Marske i.e. being at home and playing 4-5-1.

Either way, to sack anyone by Twitter for me is a bit of a cowardly way to do it and probably shows what type of people are running Bracknell.

There may well be other reasons but considering the season they’re having it can’t be on the field issues. But in any case to be sacked by email is inexcusable, makes the Chairman/board look scared/weak and unprofessional. It’ll certainly make the next candidates think twice about what type of hierarchy is in charge.
