A couple of non league snippets

Now that Staines are relegated maybe Darren Purse will be looking for a new club?

Or Ashley Lodge.

Noticed Sean Cronin of Wealdstone has gone out on loan to Grays for a couple of games.Another decent centre half, with plenty of experience and younger than Darren Purse.

Very difficult to comment on individual players, however Cronin is going back to Wealdstone in the summer and Gordon is only helping Mark Bentley out to try and reach the play offs (he played for Gordon last year) and Purse is the type of experience we would love.... However is not always as simple as picking players names out of the non league game saying he is a good player etc a lot more comes into it, and I don't have to spell out what that is.

Noticed that Aylesbury United[The Ducks] are going to share with Thame United for two seasons.Surely that's a good move for them.

On the other Aylesbury forum, noticed that a certain Cliff Hercules has attended a few games there, watching his son play in one of the youth teams.Wonder if his son can emulate his father in the future?

It seems the management team at Hanwell are leaving at the end of the season. Both ex Slough players aren't they? I know Mark Adams was, believe Ray Duffy was, too.

Wonder where they will end up at? They been fairly successful so far.

Any reason why they're leaving, if they've been successful you can only think they've got another club to go to?

Don't know why but I expect they have.

I did wonder if it would be our landlords,Beaconsfield but wouldn't think that would make you leave Hanwell for. As neither get good crowds or have much going for them on a financial footing but then again SYCOB get rent from Slough and perhaps are perceived recently,as a bigger club,in terms of how well they've done, under recent managers bar this season.

So you never know.

Only goal difference can stop Kettering and Merthyr getting promoted. Kettering are +20 and Merthyr are +38.

Didcot's John Mills scores another 4 goals and is now on 53 for the season.

Will be interesting to see who ends up in our division and who ends up being put in the Ryman Premier.

Could we be in danger of being moved across?

So it looks like relegated teams will be Staines and farnborough from conf South

In conf north leamington and brackley are in trouble. If they were to come down I think there would be more chance of teams like Corby or redditch going north

Lets hope so!

Let's not !  Just when we get the measure of the quality of the opposition in the Southern Premier, would be a pain to move.

Happened to us before, though, hasn't it. Suppose we would get a number of nearer teams ie less travelling, especially for you,Boh !

If Kettering and Merthyr do join us in the Southern,we're have a harder league than this season !
