Pretty sure Putnam joined Met Police from H&Y? 2 errors in one sentence for them!

You beat me to it,Glen.

Jim Cooper, the Met Police manager was singing from the roof tops about 'Putts' when he signed him,so strange that he has let Putts leave so soon.

Think for Calum Bunting, it's now or never at Premier level. I saw him for Chesham against Banbury and he looked out of his depth. To me he doesn't bust a gut enough, it's like he is waiting for something to happen.

Hopefully Terry Brown will get him fired up but if he doesn't Callum will be back playing at a lower level before long.

Callum Bunting is only a young lad but he does look a bit lightweight.

Perhaps he's just one of those players that will score a lot of goals at the right level?

I had high hopes for Callum when he signed for us and it appeared a quality signing but unfortunately he didn’t get the run of games required to prove his worth. He’s now moved on quickly again and yes I think this would be his last chance at this level before he drops back down which is a shame considering some pro clubs saw something in him to offer him trials. But Terry Brown is used to working with young players at Basingstoke so it could be the right fit.

Callum Bunting scored for Basingstoke today as they beat Redditch 3-0

He's got off to good start with a debut goal,so good luck to him but he will need to add to his all round game to be a success at Basingstoke.

Terry Brown will need to put a rocket up his ar*e, me thinks ! ha ha !

Callum Bunting scored a hat-trick for Basingstoke tonight.

What you forgot to mention was that Basingstoke were playing Fleet Town, who sit second from bottom in the East division and that one of his goals was a penalty.

It was a 2-6 win for Basingstoke.

I think Terry Brown could do wonders for Callum's game, given belief and time. Basingstoke fc are a good match for young players that aren't the finished article and need improvement.

Time isn't on the side of Slough and Chesham currently, both for very different reasons.

Basingstoke have signed Hartley Wintney's top scorer Sam Argent and despite reportedly having no money they have put him on a contract.

On the FF News page on this site, there's a large paragraph written by Terry Brown about what is happening at Basingstoke concerning the squad and the club in general.

Tickles me that he says Callum Bunting is a target man as he is 6ft 3'. His hair adds half a foot ! ha ha !

Seriously, though, Terry Brown will have to add a lot to Callum's game to make him a good target man, Can be done but a good way to go yet.

While we all know Terry is no one's fool and is considered one of the best non-league managers around,it does make you wonder how the club of Basingstoke, in it's current state and the future proposed community club, will be able to afford a manager of his calibre. He can't be cheap, can he?

He's found himself in a completely different situation to the one he signed up to when he started with B'stoke but probably feels a moral obligation to carry on and see what the fall out is from losing their Chairman.

With their reported budget cut of down to a 1/3 I'm really not sure how they are still managing to be full time.

Nice to see Steve Bateman's Berkhamstead have come from 2-0 down to beat the other Biggleswade team 2-3 and go top of their division.
