A couple of non league snippets

All down to rank bad management. Unfortunately it's another sorry tale of a club spending what they can't afford in search of glory.

Yet will Gosport find a better manager?

According to Gosport fan I know, it seems Alex Pike and his wife have put money into the club to help with the finance problems [though he may have taken quite a few bob out of the pot in the past], and that this season they've had to recruit young, inexperienced cheap players because the money has dried up.

Perhaps they're going for a cheaper new manager, rather than an experienced costly one ? !

Some real praise for Kettering on the Banbury site from manager Mick Ford after they were soundly thrashed 3-0 on Tuesday.

He said he thinks Kettering were a top 2 side and asked what Banbury need to compete with these top teams he said about £2,000 a week.

It does seem like Kettering are really pushing the boat out to win the league this season.

Kettering were excellent against us on the opening day, a fact that was often overlooked in the comments after the game. I think they will be up there.
