A couple of non league snippets

It has also been announced all of his backroom staff have been dismissed. It must make it difficult for Gordon to stay on in his new capacity at the club.

Such a loyal servant being stabbed in the back.

I wonder how long he will last in his new role. Wouldn't surprise me to see him leave for another first team stint somewhere else, after all his experience in non league football is widespread and he's obviously well thought of within the game.

Running youth development and overseeing all the teams sounds good on paper but as he's a school teacher in his main job, I would have thought it would be a busman's holiday for him !

I see the Merthyr fans are complaining about the lack of water at the segregated away portion at Hereford.

That small shop ran out very quickly and it looks like no one went to restock, so all the Merthyr fans had to watch in that heat with no water intake.

Merthyr reportedly took over 300 fans and so it is no real surprise the tiny tea bar provided to the away fans couldn't cope. For those who didn't go last week the tea bar was about half the size of the shed Sue used to have to run the club shop at Holloways Park.

Nice to see At Farnborough they had draught beer at the tea bar inside ground

Matt Day and Luke Williams have demanded that their contracts at Hungerford be ripped up. Despite their less than professional attitude Hungerford have reluctantly obliged.

No prizes as to where they will end up.

As you say it is fairly obvious where both are going. Matt Day is probably the best defender I have seen play against Slough in quite a while. (League games only)
