Im not convinced the problem is only with the stand safety certificate They did have a problem with loose gravel in a number of places. Why dont they just close of the stand entrances and not use it if they want to start the season at the new ground or is a certain number of seats mandatory

Ex Rebels keeper Luke Williams has signed for Met Police fc and on the Hayes and Yeading forum there's a rumour that Lewis Putman is no longer going to be playing for Hayes and Y, and has instead signed for Met Police.

This to be verified.

Putman confirmed this himself on Twitter yesterday.

Not too sure if much credence can be taken from pre-season friendlies although I am pleased with the start we have made. As I have stated on a previous thread (rose tinted glasses) my best recollection is that the season we first won the Isthmian League Premier in 1980/81 we actually lost all the pre-season friendlies. Last season we of course lost 4-1 at Didcot and went on to have a great league campaign. With regard to the teams Hereford have played so far Wulfrians are at Level 5 whilst Hereford Lads Club are at Level 6 as are their next opponents Wellington. My brother-in -law Bill was a Rebels supporter for years until he moved to near Worcester and still turns up occasionally (to put the mockers on!). Talking to him earlier this week he appreciates Hereford are making a big step up. He felt that Jon Mills might struggle because although he scores a lot of goals he does not do much else. That's all conjecture of course. Just looking forward to competing against the Bulls when the real season starts.
