A couple of non league snippets

That club should be at our level minimum with their home support (they could do with substantially more away support as a percentage of their home attendances though). Thing is are the attendees REALLY supporting the team or just having a jolly drink?!

Something's very wrong with their set  up to be struggling at Step 3.

I reckon it's become more of a social club than a football club.

With so many players missing games every week they were obviously not taking the football side of the club seriously enough.

I would prefer Torquay being promoted….. it must be horrible having to do that return journey & play a match, especially if it’s midweek.

Torquay are the much bigger club and will attract a bigger crowd and bring more away support providing it's played on a Saturday.

Stockton Town have been disqualified from the Northern Premier Division playoffs, as they fielded a player who has been sent off in their last league game for their semifinal victory.

Is that correct?

Their last league match was 26th April, and their semi-final play-off was 29th April, and I thought the FA rule was:-

‘A suspension is always applied when a player receives a red card, the duration of the suspension depends on the offence.

Suspension’s start 7 days after the date of the offence. This means a player CAN play in-between the date of the offence and the suspension start date.’

Worth making a note of there being a different FA rule regarding red card suspensions being immediate (not 7 days later) for play-off matches, and that the FA portal on suspensions can’t be relied on as it doesn’t have this sub-rule programmed in to it.

Who would want to be a Club Secretary?

Note:- I haven’t been able to find this FA sub-rule for play-off suspensions but it is mentioned in Stockton FC’s press releases.
