A couple of non league snippets

I'm thinking this hasn't got much to do with football on a football forum but here goes anyway.馃榾

If you just watch Netflix or Amazon Prime or ITVX or Youtube or suchlike YOU DO NOT NEED A TV LICENCE.

If though for example Amazon Prime  had a Premier League match broadcast live or a rugby international  broadcast live you wouldn't be able to watch it, cos it's live.

How would they know if you were to watch normal TV channels on your TV ?

I don't think they can know.

I don't believe for a second the stuff about their TV detector vans.

I follow the rules though.

I've just seen this on Kettering Town's Twitter/X feed. It reminds me of when we used to do this at the Polish Club many years ago (I don't recall the entry fee including sausage & chips though). Looking at their league position (they're out of the relegation zone in the Southern League Premier Central only because of the demise of Nuneaton Borough), a second successive relegation (this would be back to Step 4) is a possibility.

A reminder to us all that, no matter how big a name or well supported a club is, the fact that you've been there once and recovered doesn't mean you can't end up there again very quickly!

I don't understand the logic of moving from one dodgy pitch to another unless it's to do with money.

Statement from Taunton Town 3 hrs ago says that chairman Kevin Sturmey is currently sick " and will be for the forseeable future"   !?!

I thought it was possibly to do with Plymouth Parkway having played only 23 games so far this season (they still have 19 to play in just over 2 1/2 months)?

Something's not quite right as he's again back in the National League South, and can't hold down a place in the National League having been part of the squad that got relegated from League Two. It seems only yesterday he left us for Brentford and seemed destined for greatness!
