There could be other reasons why new signings haven't been announced yet other than just keeping it hush-hush.

We could start the season:

Edegbe, Jackman, Dandy, Pruti, George, Togwell, Davies, Lench, Hunt, Kayani, Anderson

With u23s making up the bench…

With the above team I don’t think we’d be necessarily in deep s**t either!

I think that starting 11 with only U23’s on the bench would see us bottom 4. It’s obvious we’ll sign new players just depends how many but I’d be surprised if it’s more than 6. I know we have a small budget but I just hope there are some nice surprises.

So where are the goals going to come from?

Nothing against the two lads up front who are promising youngsters but they are both inexperienced and unproven at this level.

Where are the goals from midfield going to come from?

CR if you think we'd survive with that starting 11 with only our under 23's on the bench your living in cuckoo land.

I could say the same about you RR with your relegation prediction with the team I named. You have no clue, like me, how it would pan out.

CR, I for one do not worry about playing youngsters so I lean with you on this one.   I think an alternative spin on this would be the good work that Neil and Jon have already done in securing some of younger ones from last season, as one or two had firm offers from other clubs!  Sometimes work when sensitive has to be completed off the radar especially in the football recruitment world.

Glen, why does Footyfan007 have to share that information to add credibility?  Sometimes people know things and don’t have to name names for the info to be credible.

It’s no secret that the u23s are a godsend and will stand Slough Town FC in great stead for the future.

I don’t know whether or not it is the case here, but sometimes the way a club will stretch its budget is by offering 10 month contracts (e.g.  from 1st July to 30th April) rather than annual contracts.

So I wouldn’t be surprised if there weren’t any major announcements until 1st July.

So we know he/she is talking the truth as we all can quite easily make similar statements!!! If I’ve been given information I’d either keep it to myself or share it, don’t attention seek by claiming to know more. No one can dispute the U23’s have been a lifeline especially with our budget constraints.

Hmmm… but that won’t tie in with Neil’s 2 week statement!!!

I’m not sure we’ll be putting many if any on contract unless we’ve pushed the boat out for a particular player.

He is talking the truth and fail to see how he (and others!) is attention seeking by simply not conforming to your opinion of how people should interact on this platform.

Oh right so you know for sure too or just believe everything you’re told. Nothing to do with conforming to anything, it’s quite simple in one fan stating they know something more than another fan then not sharing, can you not understand in the slightest how that could be frustrating? It’s hardly top secret material but I guess to some knowledge is power?
