Powelly1
Staying to carry on the good work we did last year Duncs. If we can mirror what we did last year then I'm sure Martin and the club will be happy.
JDSPFC
Having worked with Martin I know he will bring organisation, professionalism and players with him to Westfield! He has high expectations of his players, and think he will do a good job at Westfield! Good luck beardo!
Smudge
Justin,he has a hard act to follow though has he not? He has obviously sold Westfield the Dream, but just by googling his name,he has hardly pulled up trees,in his previous Management roles, albeit in struggling Sides. Will he bring Loyalty though,or just a bunch of Journeyman Players, feeding at the Trough? JDSPFC
I'm sure he does have a hard act to follow, but have no doubt he will step up! I think in right in saying that all his previous roles have been assistant manager, so will be interesting to see how he works as a manager! I would bet now that Westfield will be top 5 again next season.
duncs
I have had the pleasure of working with Beardo at Cove,I imagine he will be a very good manager as he helped me run things a couple of times when Koo was away,he would always give 100% as a player and has the right attitude to get the best out of players, like me he don't suffer fools and is very honest with people so players will know where they stand, good luck Beardo. overthebar
This is out of date news,a Sad Day for Westfield F.C. indeed. A sad day for John Comer yes as he has left a job he wanted but a sad day for Westfield I don't think so !! The new manager is coming to a club with plenty of potential, the youth management team have started to produce players that can step up when required as was seen at the end of the season.I expect the majority of last seasons squad to stay although the loss of Steer and Bradshaw would be difficult to replace as they were without doubt the main reason the club finished 4th .But having said that I expect a few ex players will return and hopefully the long term injuries will be ok soon then assuming the new manager will be bringing some players with him all will be well.As I see it the main problem next season is that the Premier division will be a lot harder as the 6 new clubs are likely to be stronger than those leaving with the exception of South Park so promotion will be more competitive.Promotion who will want it unless the Rymans league is the only option as the Southern league can seriously damage your club.So im sure Westfield will continue to progress both on and off the pitch as its a good place to play and visit .
