Colchester United's attitude changed a few years ago, about the time they moved in to the McStadium on the A12.  I know many Col U fans that refuse to go any more.

I've spoken to a few U's fans that have said that they're not surprised at this.

Oh well!  I'd say the Eastleigh game is a far better fixture, they're more likely to send a stronger side.

I used to be a season ticket holder up there.  I won't be giving them my money!

I'm one of many people that is very disillusioned with the mass commercialisation of the game.  Col U no longer treat us as fans but as customers.  It may be the way to run a modern football club but it doesn't mean we have to fund it.

I'm extremely pleased I've started supporting a local non-league team.  Even though all clubs need money to survive the clubs at this level aren't out to get at fans wallets all the time.

That's what professional football has become.

I have many friends who support different clubs across the country, the one common denominator in their discontent is the ones who have new grounds tend to completely change their way of approach with fans, they get businessmen in who only worry about the finances of the club and don't know how to deal with the average fan

Well, lets hope it pushes more fans in to watching their local clubs.  The FA may not give a toss about grass roots football but a lot of us do!

Non-league clubs need to stick together, to a certain extent.  I will be giving details of local home games when Billericay are away next season.  There are several good non-league clubs in this area that people don't mind watching when they can so it can only help.
