Kaiser Gibbs Batman (KGB)
Having recently been refreshing my memory about the players I watched as a boy, I realised that I could actually name a workable Slough Town team composed entirely of players from my old school- Slough Grammar School. It is, in old money: Rod Lister John Ford Gez Glanville Bob Breen Andy Gillham Malcolm Elguazabel Bobby Stevens Micky Bell Kenny Wallis Peter Lowen Bobby Dearlove. I don't suppose this would have been particularly unusual for any "town" team of that era. The team would, of course, be managed by Bob Gibbs. grandad
Original post did not say local players, it said all from one school, big difference. No one doubted we have always had local players around.

The thread still made for interesting reading, though, regardless of the slight deviation.
