Better standard of football and all the local teams play in it, like Berko and Tring.

Would agree the Premier Division is a better standard but not the North as our reserves have beaten Dunstable Town, Leighton Town and Barton Rovers in County Cups comfortably over the past 3 seasons.

Good Luck Dom.

You left Southall FC then ?

Yes, although Cris wants me to stay, now they have got rid of their reserves, with my work commitments it's hard to be at training twice a week and demand a starting spot in the first team, and i'm not one to sit on the bench.

Got a few options for next year, and the bonus is i also have a squad of players to take with me.

Fair enough Dom and good luck with that.

Maybe Ealing Town FC could be a option for you next season as there may be less demands training wise with them being in the SSML Division 2 also they could do with your experience being a new team.

Last night our new president received his long service award, 50 years to football. Namely Bill Dawes. Well done Bill. Fantastic service to Refereeing, Herts FA and of course the great Leverstock Green FC.

First friendly today at home to Wealdstone. Lots of players at training this week on both days. Five coaches and the Gaffa, tuesday saw a couple of coaches for goalkeepers.

Leverstock Green 2 Kent Athletic 0

PSF - Attendance 40 (HC) Admission £6, no programme

Comfortable win for the home team against a side 2 leagues lower (Spartan South Mids prem v Spartan South Mids 2). Leverstock had players with better technique, fitness, discipline and were more of a team. The only mystery was that when the second goal went in after 28 minutes that no more followed. Complacency and plethora of subs disrupting the flow.

The visitors No 10 became the earliest contender for dickhead of the season, when having been subbed at the insistence of the ref for some OTT verbals, he continued, then given the chance to apologise and take further part at half time, he refused. Even his own manager seemed lost for words.

Pancake Lane is a cracking ground and very spacious. Although a 100 odd seat metal pre-fab stand is located on the far side of the main building, secured benches are placed alongside the clubhouse side which lend a great view of the action and keep you near the excellent clubhouse and tea bar.

A ground worth visiting.
