Smudge
Thanks Chris, for putting my name in the frame.I would love to be the Referees Secretary .However not being Computer savvy, would find it difficult, unless of course it could be done in the old fashioned way,Phone and paper. Some of my ideas would be. 1. To create an elite League of available Officials/Assistants to Referee Premier games,as a Team. 2. To cut to a minimum the distance that Officials have to travel to a game. 3. Reward Officials for good marks i.e. More appointments. 4. Communicate with Clubs to get a feedback,as to why they have marked an Official with a low mark 5. Get out and about and watch Officials in action. 6. Encourage Officials to get lean and mean, pre season,i.e be present when fitness tests are done. 7. Try to find a way to get more young Officials being used in the CCL. Finally as all Refereeing Officials are paid,I think it is only fair that the Referees Secretary, should be paid expenses at the minimum,or 5% of the Officials Fees PAYABLE by the Officials. If the above fails,I know just the man,he loves a bit of power, has all the above credentials wanted by the CCL,and he lives in Camberley.

I think there are some good candidates out there Lazarus but it seems to me the frustrated footballers are filling positions in some of our clubs rather than concentrating on what they know best.
