Mystery of the disappearing link!

Nothing to stop you starting a new thread

Agreed but as I said before "...if you start a thread to explain your 'position' and when the going gets tough, you can ask for it to be removed!! I'm not convinced that lies within the 'spirit' of a public forum...".

Apologies but as the original poster had requested it I felt I had to respect his wishes - that said the original poster has come out of this with little credit by his request.

My other option was to lock the thread thus allowing no more responses but given his request and reasons that was not an option.

Again given his reasons were sent in a private message I will not disclose them.

I fully accept your position which put you between a rock and a hard place, and I would not - under any circumstances - ask or expect you to disclose the reasons given.

However, whilst I did not have the full facts, I initially had some sympathy (based on his initial post) with the poster, who voluntarily started a thread about himself.

Despite that, as (it appears) one other poster asked a question he didn't want answered (and I'm guessing it related to a subject that he didn't want in the public domain) he asked for the thread to be deleted.

Sympathy from this poster has disappeared and after 'reading between the lines' I'll now be checking the relevant listings on a regular basis.

Having read the whole story on this forum, if you make comments about a club or other people YOU will get a response you may not like. I believe the link should not have been deleted. We have all read the comments so we all know what it is about. He should not have posted anything and them no one was the wiser. There is always two sides to every story.

Nope I'm still here , and the reasons I resigned are still the same as my original post , NOT for any other reason at all , my two reasons can be checked and proved , I said to this red from ampthill town fc if he is willing to ring me 07830182857 I will continue the discussion ??? As he wasnt willing to do so or revile his name I wasn't willing to keep reading all these rumours about me on this forum . If anybody would like to ring me feel free , ampthill town are going to release a statement about these two reasons y I resigned , the reason y we didn't complete ground grading and get the rest of bonus money was due to club financial difficulties , as I say my reasons for resigning are as the first post .

CB.

A lot of this has to come from memory - as (according to KB), you have asked for the original thread to be deleted. If I recall correctly, your original post stated that you had resigned because "...the players had not been paid their promised bonus...", and "...the ground had not met the grading standard for Step Four...".

You also expressed 'dissatisfaction' towards ATFC - and it's (previous?) officials - who had not behaved as you believed they should have done. Most posters were surprised that you had left ATFC after such a fantastic season, and had 'sympathy' towards you, and wished you well.

However, one subsequent poster indicated that you had been suspended (or was about to be suspended) and inferred that this was linked to a forthcoming court case. You refused to answer any of the questions he posed - which is, of course, your right - and asked for the original thread to be closed.

This 'new' thread was opened, I assume because RedImp was 'confused' like me, and to say I'm surprised that you're back posting on here - after asking for the original thread to be closed - is an understatement!!

However, you appear to still be refusing to answer any questions about the 'pending' court case. If your resignation, the suspension and the court case are not linked, because for example, the court case relates to a motoring offence, why not say so.

However, by continuing to post, and refusing to answer the question(s), those 'not in the know' may assume - rightly or wrongly - that the case relates to ATFC's money, or something which might affect your CRB status.

You made the original post relating to a football issue - and asked for the thread to be closed - but still refuse to answer, what many see as a 'valid' question, because as others state "...there is always two sides to every story...".

This is a bit of a farce.

Mr Bicknell started a thread to explain his position. Any posts that were offensive should have been removed, not that I saw any.

The thread should have been locked if Mr Bicknell so wished as he was the author of the thread not removed.

We now have this thread going over old ground to which Mr Bicknell has responded to.

Karen - There should be some kind of 'Rule' as to locking or / and removing threads / posts?

By removing the original thread members have asked the question as to why this has happened.

This had only brought more attention to the subject which Mr Bicknell wished to avoid.
