What to discuss?

Agreed on Duff, Risbridger and Jake Parsons. Plus add in the return of Adam Foulser later in the year and potentially Leigh Rumbold too, and it's certainly a very exciting squad before you consider any additions...if we really need any?

You're all spot on regarding these lads who found themselves on the bench at the end of the season. We are hoping they can have good pre-seasons and be pushing for a start alongside a few new faces.

Team spirit, togetherness and the balance of the squad were key to our success this season and that won't change for next season. Obviously we want to strenghthen where we can but having won 16 of our last 20 games I don't think there was too much wrong and no-one should expect wholesale changes.

We hope to sit down with the chairman after the weekend to discuss plans for next seaso, budget, etc.

I'd like to think, that not many players will want to leave the club, so the nucleus of the team should remain the same (which is a good thing, as Ive not seen as much of a close knit Slough team on and off the pitch in many a year).

Maybe a few additions with experience in the higher league maybe? Just saying.....

Experience of a higher league might sometimes be a good thing but not always. For us it's more about hunger and quite often you get players who have been around at a decent level but who don't have the hunger and desire and that's not what we are looking for. We have some names in mind but we are also very happy with the squad that got us promoted and every one of those lads deserves a chance in the summer.

We will keep you well updated throughout the summer.

In terms of experience of playing a higher level we already have a high number in the current squad anyway:

Jake Somerville (conf south), Sean Fraser (Southern Prem) Guy Hollis (Ryman Prem), Ryan Parsons (southern Prem) Dave Woozley (Football League etc), Dan Sintim (Conference South/Ryman Prem), James Dobson (Southern Prem) Warren Harris (Conference South), Gareth Risbridger (Football league/Conference South), Rummy (Conference South), Jamie McClurg (Ryman Prem), Eddie Smith (Ryman Prem), Johnnie Dyer (Conference South), Scott Harris (Ryman Prem) I think Jake Parsons has also played Southern Prem.

So in reality the vast amount of our squad with the exception of 3 or 4 have played at a higher level.

But as Jon said it is having the players with hunger.

The objective of the new season in the Southern Premier, surely has to be staying in the division !

Think our current squad would give a few sides a run for their money but of course, doesn't matter what level you play at,all teams can be strengthened.

From my view,I would like to see a couple of new faces with Southern/Ryman Premier/Conference South or North experience and maybe one or two good players from step 4 level but totally agree with Unders notion on the hunger of players,

I agree 3spirit, if this time next season we remain a Southern Premier side, then job well done.

If I was one of Jon / Neils players, I get the feeling they'd give me a kick up the arsenal or transfer me out of the club with this commment, as I know they set the bar higher, but as a fan, we don't want to go back to where we were this season, so consolidation would suffice for me.

Promotion again -  well that would bloody be DREAM LAND !!!

think everyone would be more than pleased to finish safely away from relegation next season. whether budget etc allows more or less than that we shall see but I can see now more than ever how ambitious and hungry for success the managers and players seem to be.

think we should take inspiration from what Biggleswade have achieved after winning the playoffs last season and finishing 9th in the Prem. on a side note believe they made the FA cup 1st round and won the county cup last night so they have had a superb season.

interestingly the clubs that have been promoted into the Prem out of our league denying us recently are mostly towards the bottom of the table e.g. St Neots Hitchin Arlesley

Yes, my Deeney comment was tongue in cheek, although I do think his personality suits a team doing well. He is a moron, though, so no thanks.

I feel the squad is very strong, but Neil and Jon will know that if a quality player with the right attitude is available under budget, then it could be hard to not move other players on.

My preference would be to reinforce the defence in the wing-back positions and perhaps a striker. I only say that as many people have pointed out how much different we are when Ed Smith is not on the field. Of course, it didn't seem to matter in the play-off final!

Neil and Jon certainly have an interesting summer ahead!

With Adam's injury and Wooz's aging legs, maybe Alex Brown as cover...............

No offence to Brownie but I think he's also no spring chicken (33?).

Also, he has hardly played any football this season and not sure he would want another season as cover for other players.

As much as I like Alex Brown as a character and bloke, don't believe he is the right sort of centre half for us currently.

I'm not convinced we need defenders foremost.Though we may opt for cover at left back for when Ryan Parsons is unavailable,as he was a big miss when he was out.

I think we need another option in midfield and possibly another striker
