If we are still at SYCOB what about improving the far end with a covered stand?

 

I don't think worth doing it if it means coming out of our budget. The money could be spent better elsewhere. We could pay to add the cover at the other end, then be kick out of Beaconsfield the next season. As its not our ground, don't think its ideal (imo).

Think most people have gone off what the original thread was about and should be under a different title!

 

Also my original post mean't it to be, if we could add one player to our EXISTING squad,what player would you like to see.

I happen to rate Steve Wales and midfield is an area that does need strengthening without criticizing anyone we currently have.

It was supposed to be fantasy choice,not who we would get in reality.

 

Henry Eze looked a powerful player and Rugby's blond left back seemed a very good defender and stood out on our triumphant 0-3 win.

Interesting thread emerging on the Hendon forum regarding the possibility of them coming over to the SPL. Always liked Hendon & liked Gary McCann when he played for us in goal all those years back.

Really can't see this happening,given the tables that have been made up.A lot of the assumptions are way off the mark,geographically.

 

Gary McCann has proven to be a very good manager,which is unusual for a goalkeeper,being that most are unsuccessful at it.

Just picking up on the Henry eze convo.... And many may not of seen 2nd half but he tired.... 1st half he kept us under control but 2nd the lads were too much for him and he seemed to get tired defo not a 90 min man!

Won't talk about players coming into the club and not sure we should as they are other teams players but, thinking on another topic opposition players who impressed me this season in our league were:

 

- Seb Lake-Gaskin (Rugby)

- Luke Knight (Barton)

- Josh Andrews (Egham)

- Marcus Moody (Egham)

- Ross Oulton (Daventry)

- Stacey Field (Aylesbury Utd)

All good shouts. Lake-Gaskin can be used on the wing also in addition to his obvious prowess upfront. What would Kolodynski do on his own, though?

A good list. I thought Marcus Moody looked useful and must be fairly local.

 

I think Bakes and Unders will be wary of who they bring in,to the fact that the new player must be a good fit for the dynamics of team morale and mixing well with the current crop of players.

 

Think the Dave Deeney from Michael STFC was tongue-in cheek,I hope! We know Windsor Rebel was joking. We certainly don't want him back.

 

One player I do think is a good egg and would give us a different dimension up front,if he was available, is Charlie Mpi as he has pace to burn and I think our managers would get more out of him, than when he was at Slough last time.

Talking of Charlie Mpi, it seems he did the business for Hemel as a supersub,like when he was at Slough.He often got us back into games when we looked like we would lose,when he came on as a substitute.

In his full games,they were somewhat less productive but I wasn't sure Steve Bateman quite knew how to fit him into the way the then Slough side played and so we lost his talents too early IMO.

Talking of new signings it will be like having one if we can get Gareth Risbridger a decent pre-season & fully match fit next season.

 

He did not really get the chance this season as he was always playing catch-up and only had 10/20 mins here and there having not played for so long, but he is a class act when I've seen him previously.

 

Same with Steve Duff really as well.

think you can really also add Jake Parsons who with preseason will be in much better shape to play as well as we know he can. so that's almost like 3 signings right there potentially
