Chairman required Ampthill town fc

Recommended Posts

Perhaps Mr Rhodes has persuaded the manager to join him at Edgware Town

You mean Craig, well I'm sure he would be an asset to any Club, you have to admire what he achieved during his tenure at Ampthill Park

Rhodes again??? Seriously Karen, can't you setup a separate forum for Rhodes and all his hate fanatics away from SSML interests?

Col. You are relatively new on here...Rhodes isn't, and has 'history' of trolling and being generally a total prick. Whenever he posts, there will be a response, that is what he lives for.

Ampthill town are pleased to announce some very exciting happenings that have  materialised

over the last few weeks.  We have a new chairman,Lee  Roberts who has previously worked tirelessly for the youth section for 7 years, vice chairman Gary  Maidment, also from the youth, and a whole host of back room staff after officially amalgamating with Ampthill town youth, so as from now all teams from the age of under 8's to the first team will all be under the same umbrella.  We also have appointed  Derwayne Stupple as first team manager, Derwayne has a good pedigree in non league football having played for Bedford town in the conference south and also for Hitchin, Arseley

town, St neots and Cambridge city. He also possesses a EUFA B  coaching badge, so  good luck to him.

We have also tentatively agreed a ground share (to be announced officially soon). Last but not least we are in negotiations with a very large sponsorship deal with a " household name" sports retailer. Training starts   on 1st july at our Abbey lane training ground, all players old and new welcome, i will clarify the time. As  you can see we have been busy.

You've lost your ground and are ground sharing!?

Or are sharing you ground with another team?

Excellent news re: the youth! Hopefully this is a sustainable, but bright future!

Neutral, No we haven't lost the ground, we have another team interested in sharing. The structure we now have is very organised and hopefully we will have more stability. Last season we  gambled and probably had the biggest budget in the league hoping to win it, but it didn't pay off. That's history now, hopefully a more stable club will bring the benefits.

I thought you had no playing budget aside from paying a bonus from the prize money?

Ah excellent about the structure- really really it hope it works for you, while being sustainable but allowing you to still to potentially push for promotion?

Ground share is interesting indeed!! Someone from Beds County? Or a SSML club!?

I thought all that type of stuff was in place last season and the club was going places. It seemed everyone was very happy certainly people posting on here including you. Now I get the sense that perhaps you weren't? Whys that? Ampthil one of my favourite grounds in SSML and always seemed good people over there, it sounds very positive and hopefully you continue to go from strength to strength. Does groundshare mean no reserve team? Excellent source of income though. Manager sounds good appointment and having played where he has I'm sure he'll have great contacts to bring players in. Good luck to all.

Clean Slate have tweeted that they'll be ground sharing at Ampthill Town (not Manor Fields).

I'd take Ampthil over manor fields every time.

I thought they had already paid the money for Manor Fields, maybe that wasn't the case. Possible that the work at Manor Fields was not going to be finished as well.

Also understand that Buckingham Town have signed a 10 year lease. Really can't see them staying as Buckingham Town if that is the case.

Have e-mailed Clean Slate for confirmation, as yet neither myself or any of the SSML Management Committee are aware on any change of venue for Clean Slate

Agreed I don't think Buckingham Town will exist within 3-4 years they will 'merge' or name change to Milton Keynes United or something. They have no hope of playing back in Buckingham unless they drop down to north bucks find a pitch and start from there but they won't. Edited by Winslow Boy
