Chairman required Ampthill town fc

Recommended Posts

I've heard a few things about where he's gone... But won't post as I'm not sure if they're true. The club may also not want details released- quite damaging

Maybe @spartanmidnews will tweet the gossip?

What I l know (or don't know) I've heard from two different sources, both with the same information but about different people within the club.

I've got a lot of time for Ampthill Town and won't publish what I know (or potentially don't know) untill the current situations resolved. It could potentially deter investors.

The chairman issue is  almost resolved and the manager has resigned for personal reasons, but everything else within the club will be absolutely fine.

AMPTHILL TOWN FC

OFFICAL STATAMENT

On the resignation of Craig Bicknell

1st team manager

We, the committee of Ampthill Town FC would like to thank Craig Bicknell for his

three years as 1st team manager, together with the coaches and high standard of

players bought to the club. This has been another history making season the highlight

reaching the quarter finals of the FA vase. We would like to thank them all for a very

entertaining and passionate season, earning themselves a well deserved 2nd place in the

premier division of the South Midlands Spartan League.

The committee had voted to award the players an end of season bonus, but due

To financial issues only half could be paid. This financial issue also lead to the planned

ground grading project to be postponed to be completed when viable. We would like to

take this opportunity to thank all the people involved in the project so far for their voluntary

hard work.

We wish Craig all the best for the future.

For and on the behalf of the committee.

Mark Goodman
