Lowestoft 3 Hx 0

cup of tea

Recommended Posts

Gutted for the club - just one game too many today.

There was a handball in the build-up to the first goal but to be honest Lowestoft were worthy winners and I don't want to detract from their performance today.

Gave a good account of ourselves in the first half but couldn't really get a clear cut chance.

Injuries and suspensions took their toll - this is also a ground where we traditionally struggle as well.

Congratulations to Lowestoft and I hope they have a good time in the next league up, be it Skrill North or South (suspect North).

We needed to get to half time all square,re group to give ourselves a fighting chance. Sadly it wasn't the case and they ran out deserved winners.

All you can ask is that the players put a shift in,they did that but unfortunately we came up short.

Feel gutted but already looking forward to the coming season.

Well done to the travelling support and well done and hard luck to all the staff and players.

Thanks for the good wishes you Urchins.

Thats one apiece in PO Finals now.

Good luck next season and aside from the result hope you enjoyed your day

at the seaside. As ever you were all a credit to your club today.

Doubtless we will meet again soon.

We simply weren't good enough,we should of gone into the play offs as a home side , always hard to play in front of the best part of 3000.

The fact is , that Lowestoft are in form and looked the better side, they thoroughly deserved the win.

The only sour note is the hostility towards many hornchurch fans before during and after the game, which was quite honestly pathetic.Grown men scowling at kids and the elderly and when the majority walked out the ground and one of the big hard Lowestoft fans abused a couple of our fans,he walked into the pub and was immediately followed by some hornchurch who went to confront the twat and his friends, found that they had been let out the back of the pub

That doesn't make for good reading - at least stand and have a go, that's the way I was brought up (not in Lowestoft, thankfully)

There's never really much bother at this level of the game - unless it's on the messageboards :-)

It's only a game - you had you're turn at the next level and failed - maybe we can do a bit better. Who knows?

On a sad note - you have to visit Billericay next season. Wonder if the bookies will price that match up!

Despite the result it was still a good day out. Well done Annie organising the coaches. Meet some good stoft fans, good luck at the higher level. One Hornchurch idiot put a damper on the day going well over the top with his remarks to the stoft keeper. Hope he wasn't regular and dosn't come again.

Well done Lowestoft the only down side was due to the crowd we could not see the match in the second half no thought for an area for the away team and the fact my 9 year old grand son got abuse from the morons in the stand by the entrance not regulars one would hope. The better team won on the day the urchins did their best with a depleted side.

Don't want my remarks to detract from the win Lowestoft gained .good luck in your new league

Unlucky Urchins. .. Looks like a long season took its toll in the end eh?. .... At least you've another visit to Rookery Hill to look forward to ... Probably our last there if things pan out as planned. ....

Just celebrating the fact that we won't have to hike up to Lowestoft on a Tuesday night next season when I hear that Kings Lynn are likely to be switched to Ryman Prem. ..

good day out really enjoyed it, major sunburn on my bald head though, would have been nice to see the game after paying £10..but should have got there earlier I suppose, enjoyed the pub on the front, maybe go Margate and Bognor next season get right on it, bet Harrys head is as sore as mine!

I really don't want this to sound like sour grapes, it certainly isn't meant to be said in that way.

I think that if Lowestoft are going to get bigger crowds then their officials are going to have to look at segregation. In the second half we couldn't stand together, unless you're 6ft+  then you couldn't see the game if you were an away fan and the path behind the goal was blocked which surely was a health and safety risk. All that's needed was the stewards to take a little bit of organising. Abuse to kids and the elderly shouldn't be accepted either.

I'm sure that will be sorted out going forward. Lowestoft is a decent club with the overwhelming majority of fans being nice people and I wish them all the best.

I don't know why we have to constantly throw abuse at an oppositions keeper, just gives them an excuse to take the p1ss out of us when they beat us.

As for the Lowestoft crowd,I've always liked the club and the only problems we have had have been in the play off finals so hopefully it is the size of the match that wound them up.

Saying all that,if we had won the match I get the feeling that there would of been trouble such was the ferociousness of some of the crowd.

it was a good day out  it was only  the game  got in the way of it  a bit we needed to be at full strength  to really  stand a chance  everyone  worked  hard  but there was always going to  be one result  ...  the stadium was in no way  fit to hold such a game with that size of crowd there should have been a area  for the hornchurch  fans to  stand together and  also to  have had a steward or 4  in this area too   if hornchurch  had won  i hate  to think what would have happened judging  by some of the actions and comments of some   lowestoft fans around  the ground ( well lowestoft  via norwich city for the day ) to be all scattered  about like  that  was asking  for some thing  to happen  if the result  went the other way .....the area behind the goal  between the wall was a joke  if there was any need to clear  that  area in a hurry  it would never  have happened  that  part of the wasnt  fit to hold  spectators  it was more  just a blocked up alley  way    .....in fact  we  might not have a great  home  stadium and a running track all round  but  i dont think the old home  is all that terrible really  and the FA Cup game against peterborough with a crowd  like yesterday  was quite comfortable    ;)

Yeah I do think some re thinking needs to be done by Lowestoft for big games, which I believe they will have a few in the future.

Every fan that enters the ground should be able to have a decent view of the game and also I believe any crowd over 1000 really should have some level of segregation as there are morons in every town and city in the UK.

I like Lowestoft as a club and most of the time they cause no problem but like any club ,the bigger the game the more people are attracted to the clubs and problems can arise.

I am sure they will learn from it and look to develop the ground if possible to ensure things are better next time

The bigger the gate, the more likely you're going to get a few morons. Big games such as play off matches, FA Cup games, local derbies always bring out the local bad lads looking for trouble.

Unfortunately some games you just have to segregate and this should have been one of them.
