Fair play to them for finally sending the DVD to us, but to stipulate that we dont put it online is quite childish.

 

 

Agree.

 

Teams that video games don't pick and choose what to put online based upon if they've won or lost.

 

Does seem an odd request.

To be honest they have not stipulated that we can't, however I have not asked them if we can (but seems strange why they have not put it online themselves), it would probably be best for me to give to one of the website lads, and they can then liase direct with Kettering:

 

Issue is I now go away on Wednesday with the lads, and then go straight from Portugal to the US, so not about until the 26th, I could meet up with Gary I guess, as believe he lives in Sandhurst. Gary?

I guess it goes to show how confident they were of beating us to go through all that trouble to do such a professional production (including pre-match in studio etc....).

 

To put just the first half up online, seemed odd as I doubt a Kettering fan would want to sit through watching 45 minutes, knowing what the following 45 would bring. If that was me, I would have not bothered uploading the first half up (all or nothing surely) as that half doesnt really benefit Kettering or Slough fans (on the overall scheme of things)...

 

Still think its childish, but at least we have the DVD. Do think some it could have been conducted in a better manner (just saying).

I think it's obvious that because of the outcome of the game, Kettering just can't be arsed to spend any time, or cost if it does cost, to put the second half on YouTube.

 

We have been given the video with no stipulation from Kettering on what we do with it so can't see a problem with putting it on YouTube.

If the game had been at Beaconsfield and I had filmed it and Kettering didn't, if Kettering had then won, I still would have done the extended highlights for Vimeo on the MyFC site and the 5-minute highlights (or probably a bit more) for the STFC You Tube channel...and I also would have produced full match DVDs for sale to the supporters of both clubs and anybody else who wanted them, with a percentage of the profits then going to STFC, either via MyFC or from the STFC (Club Shop/Website ?) buying DVD's off me in bulk and then selling them on to Kettering supporters for a profit.

 

I have done that for all the (numerous) Non-League clubs I have filmed for over the years. It's just common sense.

Whatever happened to holidays in places like Hayling Island and Bognor Regis?! LOL!
