ProgEd
Suffolk Police have warned me that there are road works north of Ipswich which are likely to add around half an hour to the journey on Monday. They also advise parking well away from the ground to avoid the post-match chaos on the local streets which, as those of you have been there before will know, are very narrow with severely restricted parking. Eastside Urchin
An alternative route is up the A12,westbound onto A14,Up the A140 and then across The A143 and then A146,have used this before and while it probably adds 20 miles into your journey means you won't have the coast traffic plus roadworks, worth looking at anyway
Eastside Urchin
Peter, did they say where exactly the roadworks are??? The GPS I've just checked shows no heavy traffic in that area,so either the roadworks haven't started yet or they aren't causing much problem. The only heavy traffic north of Ipswich is at blythburgh which is about 30 miles north of Ipswich,if this is the case then it may well be worth giving it a miss as it's just before the turning to Southwold which may well be very busy. ProgEd
It's a bit late now, but the road works were at Blythburgh. As you will have seen if you came that way, they were taken off for the weekend. You'd have thought the helpful bloke from Suffolk Police would have known that!
