Smudge
After reading an article on another thread on this Forum 'Management Movements' and asking the Question about the Westfield Manager John Comer leaving.By NLN not repling to my post regarding this matter,it as good as gave the game away.I can confirm through my enquiries my sources tell me That John Comer was asked to leave which he declined,he was then sacked. He will however be in charge of Westfields game against Epsom and Ewell. I find this to be the biggest mistake,a Club has made in my short time within CCL. Johns Record A track record of gaining Promotion from Div 1,and currently lying in 4/5 place in the Premier, most clubs would give their right arm to have that Success in 5 years let alone 2 LOYALTY? Westfield have already have applications for the Vacant position, although looking at the alledged names given to me by my source,I would not touch them with a bargepole, they have all had positions at Walton Casuals for a short time, alas in their Relegation era, when they were reprieved,Martin Beard 1st Team Coach,Danny Carroll 1 st team Manager,James Cameron,Res.Manager, then 1st team Manager ,when the previous Manager left. So what will they bring to Westfield promises etc. But judging by their previous, they have no loyalty at all. A SAD DAY FOR FOOTBALL,and not even to notify their supporters is in my opinion a poor Public Relations Exercise by Westfield FC. BEST OF LUCK John and Jackie in your future Football adventures,2 of the nicest people I have met,OPEN AND HONEST IN ALL THEY DO.
AllStar
Nicest? I don't know what bloody games you've watched Smudgey boy but the guy is a complete and utter tool who doesn't stop spouting total nonsense. If this rumour is true (which I'm confident it is) the 2014/15 season will be a quieter one for everyone involved.

AllStar
1. My names not Louis, Peter. Who is this Louis you speak of? 2. I played minimal part in Chessington's relegation (5 games) hardly had time to keep 'em up! 3. I can say with the upmost confidence I will not be playing in division 1 next season. Only turned out for CHUFC at the end of season due to work commitments.

Are you sure being promoted is the right phrase as I think in this league you use any player at your disposal, harsh i know but true, don't know the manager very well think we have a bit of a personalitty clash though,I know we are both loud but you will never here me shout anything other than encouragement to the players in whatever teams i have been involved with (and maybe the odd word for the officials). Smudge
Thats the problem with Football, unfounded reputations are given to people by word of mouth, not what a person is actually like.Your a loudmouth,I'm a drunk, according to people who have never met us,we are far from that as many people know. You know your Football inside out having been a Player,Manager, and had success during that time.I only drink when attending a Football Match, because it helps me get over my Shyness towards people, the rest of the time, not a drop passes my lips.John Comer is Passionate about his Football,so being over exhubirant in a Dug out, gives him a bad name,I would call it passion for his Club. The irony of it is that Clubs that get promoted out of this league, either have passionate players,or passionate Managers, some even have both.Shrinking Violets win nothing. Powelly1
Smudge/Duncs That was my post on our website. We as a reserve management team had a chat with John pre-season and while it would be nice to produce some players throughout the season for the first team, John said at the time that it wasn't expected. It is true that 16 players have played for the first team this season - out of those 16, 4 had played a part in the first team prior to this season. On top of that, 5 had played adult football prior to this season. The other 7 had only ever played youth football. Obviously the players take most of the credit, but John should also take credit for picking these lads. We'll take a bit of credit too for making sure they're ready! I agree with you Duncs that you use what you've got, but the point is 12 players had never played at this level and during the season they have - that is definitely progress. It's been a fine season for both Senior sides and that's been a good advert for having a reserve team and for young local lads coming to the club and getting a go.
