Kettering (a) - Monday 5th May

I would expect the local police to have some concerns about public order and health and safety with the numbers likely to be turning up. They may yet have some influence on where the game is played although it is a bit late to be organising an alternative venue. Can't understand why it wasn't made all ticket. Somebody will have some explaining to do if people are injured or there is damage to property.

To be fair, that 1300 capacity was only a guess by one of their fans on their forum, I am sure that it will be a capacity of 2000 plus, and I am sure that it will be pretty much full Monday.

Be great to get as many going as possible to support the lads, as we will be vastly outnumbered, and hopefully Kettering will give Slough a number of seated tickets which can be distributed to the appropriate people.

Can we all please stop making assumptions.

Once arrangements are sorted we will share them.

It will be a big crowd but that is to be expected.

Believe me it takes effort to put on a game of this magnitude and a bit of time.

So, if not all ticket (as we are running out of time here), I dont want to travel all that way and not get in, so is it a case of get there bloody early, first come first served kind of thing....

Fair point,Rebel Matt,I don't fancy wasting a Bank Holiday, travelling to Kettering and not getting in.

We would struggle with the same issues as Kettering. All clubs at our level are run by volunteers and we've been spoilt having grounds to ourselves. Personally i couldn't give a shit if i cant see as long as we win!

Well in that case,BR,you stay back in Brighton and listen to the match on Rebel's radio and that will be one less in the queue ! LOL !

As it is getting closer to the game do we now assume that it will definitely be at Kettering.......................when do we know anything about possible seats for us.

Surely kettering can answer this by now.........................

Maybe Rebels Radio is the best option.....................is there time for that to be extended to Rebels TV ?!!!

The game will be at Kettering, not that this was ever in doubt.

The local Police have been in touch and there are no concerns from a safety point of view about numbers.  Issues with viewing will mean that you will need to get there early pick your spot and stay put, but as someone else pointed out, this would be the same for us. (remember Mansfield at home!).

I have asked the question with regard to disabled access, parking and viewing and will update you all as soon as I know the answer.

With regard to their website comment about the first stand being out of use. I am sure they had more than one stand, so again seating will be be first come first served.  As it would be at ours.

Parking is limited, so I would suggest were possible travel by coach.

Pricing details will be on the club website soon.

Thanks Kay, so shall we congregate our support at the end with the trees? (which i believe have now been cut down).......

I would assume that we will shoot that way 2nd half as Kettering like to shoot towards the small covering 2nd half so when the lads will need us we will be behind the goal we are shooting....

Thoughts from the noise makers?

Yep sounds good Mark and as Ian mentioned earlier. Lets get in there good and early and group together at that end so we can try and make ourselves heard.

There is limited disabled viewing. The area holds max 6 wheelchairs.  Kettering have 2 or 3 regulars.  So this will be first come first served.

There is space allocated for disabled parking, but again it is limited, so you are advised to get there early.  If you want to PM me I will pass names onto Kettering, which will make access easier (as long as there is still space when you arrive). Obviously blue badges will be required.

Can we please share this information with those that don't use the forum.

It looks like there will be no Rebels Radio or Slough cameraman there on Monday.

Kettering have a gantry that only fits one cameraman plus apparently they want exclusivity on the video.

John at Rebels Radio has declined to commentate as it is unlikely he will be able to get a position where he could commentate from and see everything.

There is some talk that Kettering will try and stream the match live but I don't know if that will actually happen or even be allowed. They do also have a Poppies Radio commentary online.
