Kettering (a) - Monday 5th May

Perhaps they really should consider switching to another ground if the league would permit it? Just seen pictures behind the goal from last night and there is no way people at the back can have seen much if anything.

Agree with Martin, i think it should be switched - how about to Rugby's ground.

It was packed enough when we went up in the pissing rain earlier in the season and hard to see anything.

The Kettering fans were great before, during and after the game but these big games do attract knob heads

On both sides! Hope to be there Sue, more an observation that this isn't a match I plan to bring a 5 yr old to

I wonder if they could get hold of some of the roll on, roll off terracing which has been successfully implemented by Chelmsford behind their goals for a number of years now. Think the increase in capacity would more than cover the cost of hire or purchase. Would also help to alleviate some of the concerns about views

I'm not sure why they would put themselves out for a one-off match like this if they couldn't do it for the semi-final against their local rivals ?

They won't be that concerned whether you can see or not ... just so long as you've paid your £8 entrance fee.

The only concern they'll have is whether it is flagged up as a Health & Safety issue or a potential for trouble flaring up amongst spectators.

An all-ticket match would help travelling Rebels make sure they can gain entrance to the ground but I would think a larger neutral football ground makes a lot more sense for such a big game with an anticipated large crowd.

I wonder if they realise just how many Slough fans are likely to be turning up there ?

I had to explain how many people would be there, and that even if she got her wheelchair to the front she would still not be able to see anything left or right as people would be blocking her view, as a wheelchair user will be behind standing people even when right at the front. People just don't get that, even when there's only 100 people watching.

So, am I right in saying that if you are disabled and in a wheelchair there will be nowhere in the ground to park your wheelchair to view the game?

Or, if you have to sit down because you cannot stand for very long, there will be nowhere to sit because the stand is out of bounds to supporters because it is, I assume, being reserved for guests etc?

If so, it's a bloody shambles and the game should be switched to a more appropriate ground that can cater for people whether fit or disabled.
