can't take much more of that

can't take much more of that...much too exciting and entertaining in the second half for my liking.

Not good for the ticker these days.

The usual calibre in first half where we were completely outplayed and should have been at least 3-1 down-funny old game though ,and a great strike by Allen just beofe half time.

so we enjoy the home made bread pudding at half time, and settle down for more of the same -minus our other striker in ademeno, line up 4-4-1-1 with allen just behind medley ,and all of a sudden margate are cutting through the centre of the previously impervious hendon defence in droves.

(albeit Hendon are continuing to have the freedom of the park out wide;and the question seems to be who will score the most-a pretty average game suddenly morphs into flowing end to end football from both sides ).

as above-bodkin, sammoutis ,allen ;medley riveire and cash seem to have complete control of central all of a sudden midfield ;whilst Hendon seem to have acres of space out wide.

Quite why Rents and nelson-both of whom i rate highly- were being constantly out maneuvered i have no idea-(maybe they were going a bit too far forward with nothing really to play for in the game, maybe the pitch is wider than masny ) but we were certainly vulnerable out wide.

meanwhile t'other end of park-sammoutis who had been subdued in first half, was running at and through them for fun.

All culminating in a late winner -which could have gone to either side in fairness-in favour of margate-and we pack our bags for the summer holidays with big smiles.

Football doesn't work that way-and a win is a win;and i couldn't care less how it happens, but if i am completely honest-on the balance of play -what would have been a fair result-possibly 3-3 ,possibly 4-3 to hendon, but who cares -we grabbed the win-superb.

still recovering from yesterdays thriller-much too much excitement to take in.

looked like either side would score every time they attacked in second half.

just meant to add that thought Allen m-of m -particularly effective playing just behind medley in second half (i like 4-4-1-1 but you do need a fit athletic striker to play as the sole striker )with mention for riviere where whilst i have only seen him in about a third of his games-thought he was very effective yesterday-and did well to play on through his second half injury which would have taken us down to ten players

i would have thought medley did enough to minimally get further chances to prove his worth in the psf's.

great to end on a high

Thanks for the report Michael. sounds like a good game, and bodes well for next season.

Unfortunately I missed it, due to being dragged by the family to watch some overpaid nancy boys prancing about in a different premier division.

You get up early on a Sunday!

I don't think Mr Brown thought it was a particularly good game -and for the first half at least-spot on.

when i posted tongue in cheek-can't take much more of that-seems i may have been echoing what mr brown really did think according to his post match interview !!

we all see a good game differently-for me-a good game is not conceding ;and if we win-better still-but just don't concede the nil !!

for those of us used to ryman standard fayre-second half was pretty good i suppose.

for those used to league two and conference premiership-it has quite a long way to go !!

(You get up early on a Sunday!-i worked it out that i probably have less than 75000 hours to live -so have to make the most of everyone of them- )
