Ian
Our season starts tomorrow and to get promotion we 'just' have to win 3 games. Anything good or bad that's gone beforehand is now irrelevant. Time to get behind the team in the way we know we can. Irrespective of what happens from this point on I'm immensely proud of the players and management we have at our club. Good luck to Bakes, Unders and all the Rebels' players. We're right behind you :-)
Mark44
Second this, regardless of what happens I think we are in a better position on the field than this time last year......we have a young hungry team who have a desire to win and 2 managers who can only be described as "221st Century" embracing an up to date approach in style of play and interaction with fans. Martin
Wow I am not sure they are that far ahead of the times! Echo the above though. We know we can do, let's get behind the boys fully for 90, 180 or ideally 270 minutes! COYR
Stuntman Mark
Yes, I suspect association football as we know it and most likely the human race itself, is unlikely to exist by the 221st century.
HorshamRebel
Nah, they'll still be arguing about what the off-side rule actually is in the 221st Century
Ian
Nah, they'll still be arguing about what the off-side rule actually is in the 221st Century And Hotspur's great great great grandchildren will be on the forum arguing that the team of 1935 were miles better than the current lot!! brighton_rebel
Can anyone drop me off at Datchet station straight after the game. Or nearest motorway bridge if we lose.
Stuntman Mark
Or nearest motorway bridge if we lose. You could walk that no problem.
Leicester Mike
Can anyone drop me off at Datchet station straight after the game. Or nearest motorway bridge if we lose. I can drop you off there. I live in Upton, so it's not much further.
readingrebel
Totally agree with Ian. Regardless of what happens tomorrow and hopefully next week, I think we can be proud of what the management and players have achieved in their first season at Slough. Whatever happens, I think next season will be an even better one COYR!!
3spirit
Totally agree with Ian. Regardless of what happens tomorrow and hopefully next week, I think we can be proud of what the management and players have achieved in their first season at Slough. Whatever happens, I think next season will be an even better one COYR!! It's getting to be a habit with me agreeing with Ian ! I think you are right,Reading Rebel [and Ian],that most of the fans are well pleased with the managers, and the team/squad/morale/tactics/ they have brought to our cherished club. It's been a big step in the right direction,on the pitch and off it. Of course,it will need to be built upon, and won't be without up's and down's along the way but at least now,the fan's get access and information on why players aren't playing, injuries, etc . From those dark days when everything was just rumour and gossip, or cloaked from the fans who felt excluded, from the loop within the club. Bakes and Unders and Steve Easterbrook deserve immense praise for making this happen. PS Hope I haven't gone too off tangent, from Bakes and Unders achievement on the pitch!!
