Seven minutes later, Robert Ryan levelled, when he fired home from just inside the area, and the same player put Tilbury ahead ten minutes into the second half, when he neatly slotted home past a crowd of defenders. Hornchurch, needing the win to open up the gap at the top of the table, went close though Jamie Hursit, his hard drive being well saved by George Ryan in the Tilbury goal, and Hursit again was unfortunate when his shot beat the keeper but went wide of the post. Fahad Nazor levelled the score following a corner on 75 minutes, when his shot eluded a packed defence, but Tilbury regained the lead four minutes later with a well placed header from Coye Hastings. Hornchurch remain top of the table, on 36 points, six ahead of Tilbury, but both teams have now completed their matches, whilst third placed Luton Town Baldock are nine points adrift of Hornchurch, but have five matches still to play.
