Why Can't We Perform at Home?

Read Baks' comment that he would prefer an away tie in the play-offs and a closer look shows why. Of the 6 teams vyeing for the Championship or the Playoffs 2 have lost just 2 home games 2 have lost 3 1 has lost 4 and the Rebels have lost 7 In fact we are the only "top" team to have scored more points away than at home But why should this be? Everyone plays everyone else This has cost us a realistic chance of the Championship also the larger the crowd the more likely we are to lose We have lost every game where the crowd was 300+ Do any of you have any thoughts about this?

Two theories: coincidence or we are just better set up as a counter attacking unit and find it slightly easier when the oppo come onto to us more which tends to be the case in away games.

Still no good in over analysing. We have a good side and the plays offs are in our hands with two games to go. Win them both and first target reached COYR

Does anyone really think that because there are an extra 100 people at the game that the lads will freeze and lose the game??? come on really???

We have had one bad weekend in the last 15, put it in context, and lets start talking about this weekend, and hopefully trying to secure a play off position.

Will said Neil.

IrishAdrian - have you not noticed that we outnumber the home fans at almost every ground in this league? Almost every game is like a home game.

We just have to back the boys against Chertsey on Saturday and get into the playoffs. Anything can still happen if we get there.

1 person thinks that...... Don't want the lads thinking that all the fans think this way! I was as frustrated as anyone at the game yesterday I personally think has nothing to do with crowds! We don't have wooz.. Adam.... Ryan in the team all good leaders and we got a knock from losing after a great run! All we got to do is win sat and we're in the playoffs after our run in dec I didn't think playoffs were a possibility now we are so close!!!!

Looking at the teams we could play in the play offs *should we get over the finishing line on Saturday * (including possibility of Dunstable dropping into them), we are guaranteed a bit of a midweek journey after work to follow the Rebels (whoever we may play), so need as many fans to make the effort and get to the game...

So who is this person who thinks the team will freeze when an extra 100 fans are present? It certainly isn't me My OP made it clear that I found it a bit puzzling that all home games with 300+ have been lost and asked if anyone could think of a reason A rebel and a saint of course I know how few fans some of our rivals attract but the number of home fans plus the number of travelling Slough fans still doesn't amount usually to a large crowd.
