SSMFL
Hertford Town 3-1 Biggleswade United
Admission £6
Attendance 87 HC
Programme free 8 page job
Bottle of Real ale £2.80
Barmaid a Kelly Holmes lookalike but a very randy 8/10

Cracking ground here and a very friendly welcome to a team that have been struggling all season after there pitch was badly hit due to the floods in January. Nothing wrong with the pitch tonight infact it looked better than at my last 2 games.
The game was between two struggling teams and was really poor. Hertford took the lead just before HT when the whistle happy ref failed to blow up when it looked a foul on the keeper from a corner.
Second half was poor with Hertford doubling there lead midway through the half. Biggleswade got one back with 15 left which left for a twitchy bum time but Hertford finished it off on 87 with a terrible cock up between the 5 and the keeper.
Great to see fans singing at a game at step 5 level.

Pre match refreshments in Spoons and the Hertford Club then onto the Black horse by the ground.

If we win it we will have to do it the hArd way!, great result tonight. Big performance for us tonight. We limited them to long shots and we took ours, hit the bar at 0-0 so we was good for the win. Roll on Saturday because we keep winning and no one wants to play us

I love ground hoppers but this report is inaccurate..........the bar maid in question is my wife and she is definitely a 10 out of 10!

Congrats and farewell Hanwell.

We dominated first half but found ourselves 1 down. Second half we weren't at it at all, awful 2nd half. Heaviest league defeat of the season.

Congrats to Hanwell Town FC.

All the best next season!

Bye Savagebee :(

Congrats and farewell Hanwell.

Many Thanks im going to miss the SSML but I wont lie and say that im not looking forward to going to lots of new grounds next season.

But I will still pop along and watch some SSML football at Southall FC and London Tigers FC next season.

ALL the players, Ray, Mark and Vince and everyone else at the club have done the club proud this season the team has been a joy to watch the last two seasons.

A Rob Laney hatrick yesterday what a signing he has been for the club.

UP THE TOWN! :D

Many Thanks was just saying the same after yesterdays game.

You were there mate rain or shine. Wonder if that lad who's banged in all the goals might get a few trials this summer

Congratulations to our friends at Hanwell. We will miss going to your ground even though we lost 10 - 0 there earlier in the season.

Has Rhodes been usurped as the resident cribber? :)  Anyway, I might as well

South Midlands Division 1

BALDOCK TOWN 0-2 SUN POSTAL SPORTS

Attendance 32 (h/c 50) Usual expenses

Two goals in the space of four minutes sealed it for SPS who's celebration reminded me of those of St. Margaretsbury when they won both games at la ferme du cloche last season. Other than that it was a typical end-of-season game with little to commend it.

A bit of a shortage of manpower tonight - Ross manning the turnstile instead of the usual woman and clearly producing FAR too many programmes, good though they are for this level and also missing was Captain Spatch perhaps due to Easter holiday family duties. Never mind - HyperAngus was on hand, resplendent in green and being the usual PITA according to a blue-hoodied onlooker. Point proved when HA, along with Ross served a tray of chips to a Canary Club member only to have most of them end up on the ground.

Point gained against Berkhamsted felt like a win. Another point in the bag for safety, we now have 31 points. London Lions are 18 points behind with 8 games to play and we have 4 games to play. As long as we match what they do we will be save. They will need to win 6 games and a to over take us if we do not gain any more points. One win will do it.

Match report from last night.
