3spirit
I know our beloved team hasn't won anything yet, and even if we don't achieve anything this season, our joint managers have been a fantastic addition and have been a revelation since arriving at our club. I'm not used to praising managers so highly, here at Slough Town FC ! The supporters have had to endure an awful lot of mediocre and downright poor ones over the years with one or two bright spots in between. I think, currently,we're being showered with a brilliantly bright spot .Long may that continue. Looking at the player profiles of our squad this morning,it is praiseworthy to see the type of player Neil and Jon want in their squad and the good balance between younger players and experienced ones.We have players who could play for us for a long time to come, given their age. If ever a player deserves a glorious swansong it is Gareth Risbridger after the horrific injury and all the operations he's been through. Our managers are top blokes giving him the opportunity. Many others wouldn't. Note to Bakes and Unders, don't expect such cringe squirming praise to last forever,as if we lose our next 3 games,I'll be back to moaning at you !!! LOL ! Graham Cox
Agree totally. We all had doubts early season...........size of squad, players released etc..................but they have got things right so often this season. They also realised that those doubts were expressed by fans with the best interests of Slough Town at heart and have always been willing to discuss everything , not just on here but face to face as well. And they are such nice guys.................... !
Mark44
Echo all of the above. Only been supporting since 2002 so this is the 9th manager(s) but the football we are playing and the way they have got the team playing and fighting till the last minute is way beyond any expectation I had when they were appointed Well done

Sir Rebel1965
Have I missed something - did we get promotion yesterday? - did we guarantee a play-off position yesterday? - NO to both. Yes the management team have done a cracking job - but there are still 3 very important games still to go to ensure we finish as high up the table as possible - only when they are played and the points are on the table should the celebrations start - don't lull ourselves in to a false sense of achievement as it is still possible to lose the next 3 games and come away with nothing! This is not a dig, but we all saw what happened after the st neots win under Bateman - however Jon and Neil have made sure the boys now play for the full 90 mins, and the same should apply for the full 42 games (plus 2 hopefully). Think you're missing the point,Rebel1965. Most of us supporters, think the managers have done a cracking job, in what after all is their first full season with us. Also they have been a breath of fresh air, in regards to this forum ,openness to supporters, and their noteworthy endeavours in actually going to watch players first hand in their own time for recruitment and such like. They have been the best signings for the club in ages and have over exceeded most of the fans expectations IMO, from when the news first broke of their engagement as Slough Town FC managers. 3spirit
Yes Graham, size of squad was a big bone of contention for some supporters If that wink is for me,RR, I think you'll find our squad has been larger for the latter part of this season to what started the season, and we have the 4 strikers that I always felt was needed. Shame one of them is injured currently but good job we still have 3 to call on. Plus an extra one if you include Steve Duff.

Don Juan DeMarcus
I for one also thought we would struggle with the squad size, and on some occasions this has been proved correct. Foulser starting up top this season anyone? However despite the managers being hand tied with squad size I think they have juggled it incredibly well!
