littlehampton
This is a fixture we have all been looking forward to for some time, and I don't think anyone will be disappointed. This promises to be a real nail-biting match, for both sets of supporters, with 'Town' looking to maintain their recent impressive form at the QE2 Stadium, with another much-needed win, and 'The Stones' chasing victory to boost their hopes of making the play-offs. Maidstone are currently sixth in the league, and last October we lost 3-0 at the Gallagher Stadium. A lot has changed since then, and with home advantage tomorrow, playing in front of our largest crowd of the season, there is every reason to believe that George and our players can gain revenge for that defeat, and guarantee our Ryman Premier League status. This is a must win match for both clubs, and it is definitely a match not to be missed. All roads lead to Donkey Lane on Saturday afternoon, and I am really looking forward to getting up from the South Coast to support George and the lads. See you there! DerekR
Still 1-1 at FT. The Town's equaliser came from a Liam Hope penalty - his 100th goal for us.
littlehampton
This eagerly awaited fixture did not disappoint. Played in front of the biggest RPL crowd of the day, this match was a great advert for non-league football, with plenty of box-to-box action from start to finish, brilliant point blank saves, close misses, plus a terrific atmosphere created by both sets of supporters.Maidstone are a very good side, who will make the play-offs, but Town matched them putting in another highly commendable performance. This result, coupled with recent wins over Bognor, Carshalton and Lewes, plus the draw at Dulwich, will boost confidence and inspire Town during the remaining four league fixtures this season.Think overall a draw was a fair result yesterday. Well done to George and all our players in securing another precious point.Interested to hear other Towners thoughts on the Maidstone match. The Crowing Cockerel
Thought Town battled hard and after the first 10 minutes were pretty well organised. Its a shame we had another slow start, but there you go! If Maidstone could finish they'd've won. Noel also had a great game. Corey Whitely is twice the player he was at the start of the season - playing for George certainly seems to agree with him. Onwards and upwards. CD Towner
I think a number of players are twice the players they were under George.
vauxhallman
Totally agree CD Towner, what a differance one man can make to the squad. The players are believing in themselves and the confidence is there for all to see. Well done that man.
