Don't disagree that smurf was a very good player for us (especially his first two seasons) my opinion is that parsons has played better.

 

I would also have burgess in my team. Although I am aware I'm in the minority there.

I'm very happy with our current squad and what our managers get from the players we currently have.My comments were never about bringing Danny Murphy back !

 

I thought Graham Cox's post about our full backs this season was a good subject for debate on here.That's all.

 

Not saying you,Don,but you get these posters daftly IMO saying that the squad doesn't need changing and we currently do not need any players.When none of us were ever saying that.

 

Ollie Burgess was never a favourite of mine but that doesn't make him a bad player.I thought he was lucky to start the season with us but then deserved his place in the team/squad this season, after putting in a lot of hard work and some excellent performances for us.

Thought he was a little unlucky to be let go of, when he did but when you think what Leigh Rumbold's arrival did for the team,you know the managers know what they need to make their selected team function well, and that they know their onions !

 

I think our managers would make Danny Murphy,a better player and get more out of him than Steve Bateman ever did.Don't want to criticise Steve,as he isn't as bad a manager, as my first sentence makes him appear.Steve has many strengths and was the right appointment for us 5 years ago.

 

Think Danny suffered from getting like, many of the other whingers we had in the team back then.Having players like Paul Coyne,Stuart Swift,Sean Sonner and Danny Burnell who keep moaning affected Murphy's and Ollie Burgess's game.All the players mentioned here are talented players at this level in their own right but their ill-discipline and constant bickering undermined Steve's efforts to get his Slough team promoted.Anyway that is in the past.   

 

With our now joint managers,the current squad is so much better,in terms of togetherness and playing fairly and positively and I'm hoping[among with many others] that Slough go from strength to strength and achieve some glory that Slough as a club deserve.

Been available since about 10pm on Saturday (match day) and has had about 30,000 views so far.

 

There's been a lot of people having problems getting into various sites recently, such as this forum, the main site amongst others

I normally know that your photos are ready by you posting on the forum or Twitter but nothing has appeared as far as I can see.

 

Must admit I'm currently having problems replying and sending posts, don't know if the problem is from my end or from the website.
