A Rebel and a Saint
One point between all the teams in the playoffs now with Kettering 6 out but two games in hand. Egham could certainly have a say in the title and play off order race as they still have to play Barton, Daventry and Kettering in mid week games in the last two weeks of the season. AFC Hayes also have to play Daventry, Kettering and Rugby. Kettering play Dunstable on Saturday in a game which could either draw Dunstable back in and/or push Kettering further out. All we can do is make sure we get a result at Ashford.
HorshamRebel
Barton also had the second Highest attendance of the night - 72 The highest being Aylesbury with 81, and the lowest being 65 at Potters Bar
Jon Underwood
Bakes and I went to AFC Hayes last night (our 3rd visit in a week!) to see Ashford's 2-1 win which they fully deserved. They are a very young side now, apart from a couple of experienced heads, and are fighting for their lives so Saturday will not be an easy game. However we know that 4 more wins will see us in the play-offs at least and that is all we can focus on.
staines_rebel_Jr
Ashford will be a tough game on the weekend (though I would expect a win) Ashford probably have the smallest or at least one of the smallest budgets in the league so are almost forced to find young players who are learning the game at this level. But I still believe that clubs like Ashford are very important for football as a whole as they bring new young players into the game and as they are forced to fight to stay in the league the players learn never to give up and fight hard for every point and it also forces them to play as a team. You often see many of the former Ashford players playing are higher placed teams not long after leaving Ashford. They will be fighting for safety and as much as I hope they can stay up I hope its not at our playoff challenge expense.
brighton_rebel
Agree Staines Junior, Ashford are a great little club and I don't want them relegated. But i don't like them that much that i want to see them bugger up our play off place!

Matt
Fighting for promotion and only 72 bother to turn up. Must be disappointing and soul destroying for Barton. Should a village of 5,000 be expecting a lot more, then? We'd have crowds of about 1,700 if you compare the populations of Slough and Barton-le-Clay. Ian
Looking at the fixtures it's a nightmare run in for both Kettering and Daventry. Starting this weekend Kettering have to play 5 games in 12 days and Daventry's is even worse with 6 in 12 days. They are playing Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Monday and Wednesday before having two days off before the final game!!
