Carshalton Athletic v Enfield Town

Recommended Posts

After a pulsating match and memorable win against Bognor last night, our next Ryman Premier opponents are Carshalton Athletic, who we last faced back in December at the QE2 Stadium, drawing 2-2 in George's first game in charge.

It has been a very disappointing season for 'The Robins' who are currently bottom of the table, facing the prospect of relegation.

They have lost their last four matches, and have surprisingly only managed to secure 8 points (2 wins, 2 draws) from their 19 home league matches at Colston Avenue this season.

Our crucial win, against a very good Bognor side, should give our players plenty of confidence and momentum as we look to pull further away from the drop zone. Nothing can be taken for granted in football, and we do need to be on our guard. Last season we lost out 3-2 in the corresponding fixture.

Very best of luck to George and our players.

Good time to score bang on half-time.

We now need a BIG BIG second half performance. Our three horse race to avoid the drop is as unpredictable as the Grand National due to start shortly. We need to keep our noses in front. Come on guys!

Brilliant !!!

We have wrapped up another three points today on our travels. We asked for another special performance from the lads and we got it.

Two monumental victories in the past 48 hours which will go a long, long way towards helping us retain our Ryman Premier League status for next season.

Our destiny is now in our own hands.

Two mega-important matches next week (both at home)....Lewes on Tuesday and Maidstone United next Saturday. We needs the points and everyone's support.

Congratulations and very well done to George, our players, and all travelling Towners who made todays result a reality.

You once again have done he Club proud !!

A super performance from the team. Corey is on fire at the moment and we look solid in defence. Fantastic to see young players like Jamie Smyth getting a 1st team chance. That was the best game I've seen Bradley Quinton have for the town. I also thought Liam led the line superbly and deserved a goal himself.

Looking forward to Tuesday.

Well done to George and the boys
