Enfield Town v Bognor Regis Town

Tonight we welcome our old friends Bognor Regis Town to the QE2 Stadium for another crucial league match, with both clubs needing the points for different reasons. Bognor are comfortably placed, fourth in the table, and looking good for the play-offs. We wish them well, but not tonight.

Towners who travelled down to the south coast last October, saw us comprehensively outplayed by The Rocks at Nyewood Lane, losing 5 - 1. It could easily have been a lot worse, but for some great goalkeeping by Noel Imber.

There have been many changes to our team since that embarrassing result, and tonight we have the opportunity to put the records straight. It will definitely not be an easy match, we will need to hit the ground running, show what we are capable of, and make home advantage tell.

Very best of luck to George and our players. Let's get behind them and give them the support and encouragement they deserve.

Great result. Great night. I treated my little boy aged 6 to a midweek game as no school tomorrow. He was buzzing after and has gone to bed singing "Enfield Town FC are by far the greatest team the world has ever seen"

Mark Kirby was fantastic tonight as was Mikey Ewang in the centre of midfield. Jamie Richards worked so hard in the second half. Well deserved victory against a decent Bognor side.

George and Jamie playing the drum afterwards was brilliant and George's t-shirt "Proud of my players" summed it up.

Glory days!

The 2nd half was possibly the best I've seen ETFC play.

Hitting the woodwork twice - a free-kick that missed the top corner by a coat of paint and several decent efforts that deserved goals. If it had finished 4-1 it wouldn't have been unjust.

The game was marred by the injuries. The Bognor player seemingly broke his ankle - the Enfield lad looked bad, too, but maybe not broken. The ref will be out for the rest of the season :-)

Good luck Saturday; play like that and you'll have the points bagged by HT. Beware though, the Carshalton pitch is poor (that's being kind).

I took Raheen to Enfield Town station last night ( he lives in Dulwich ) as he was struggling to walk and catch a bus to town.

Seemed bad.

He said this was the third time he had the problem.

Cannot see him making a recovery for a few weeks.

Great shame.

He had played well up to the knock.

Best wishes

Spoke to him today and can confirm that his season is over.

He has had to come of his line in the FA Vase tomorrow.  :(
