Eastside Urchin
A really odd situation that the Ryman League seem to have put Maidstone in and the potential for this situation to get very messy. Once the original situation had been made, rightly or wrongly it should of been put to bed there and then until the summer but this just prolongs it http://www.maidstoneunited.co.uk/2014/04/stones-successful-play-off-appeal/
RegF
HUH?????..but what on earth is the point if they are unable to take up a place in the Conference? I can see that the Ryman have been placed in a tricky situation in that Maidstone have to potentially be included at the expense of another side that can compete in the Conference. Dare I ask, were the FA aware that the Conference would not accept plastic pitches. From their decision, I presume not? I see a challenge to the Conference is likely (and the Ryman supports that challenge) to reverse that decision...
cup of tea
I really don't know what's going on with this anymore - I think the best thing that we can do as a club is to: a Make sure we reach the playoffs and b If we get Maidstone then beat them. Not an issue for us then. After what happened with Farnborough last season, I would hate to be stitched up again.

cup of tea
Just looked at the form guide (last 6 games) on footballwebpages It goes Wealdstone (surprise, surprise) Hendon, Lowestoft, us, Bognor, Leiston, Grays and Kingstonian. Maidstone are in 21st. Think Maidstone have got some injury issues.
RegF
Well said EA On my trip back to the "old Dart" in December and January I had the pleasure of our win at your place along with some lively good humoured banter in the club house. Good luck guys in the play offs presuming you don't get an automatic spot!

paokman
Strange things artificial pitches in that although Maidstone are the only team not to have lost at home they have in fact only won eleven games drawing ten. Find that a bit of a conundrum. Perhaps the away team needs the first half to adapt to the pitch and manage a second half comeback?
thevoiceofreason
Now that rules are only rules when they suit you, I wonder where this might lead. It doesn't matter that I think these anti- football playgrounds are crap, what does matter is that when you start a season, you know if you will be ineligible for promotion or not. Just because you're a loud mouthed self publicist it doesn't mean you can only obey the rules that suit...unless that's an M United phenomenon.
