Banbury are dreadful! They barely have a team. I know the young lad on loan from wolves in goal there at the moment don't think he was expecting them to be as bad.

If that's true about Danny then that's fantastic for the lad, a local (luton) boy too, learnt his trade at Crawley Green

Went to the leve sun game last night, worst performance of the season by a mile!. Fair play to leverstock who wanted it more!, only one from sun to come out with any credit was Armstrong who worked hard with very little reward for his efforts, the suns left and right back were given a torrid time by leverstocks wingers, think sun game into the game thinking they would just turn up and win.aybe the best thing to happen was realising if they do go up there defence is not up to scratch

Some interesting comments on another forum regarding one of tonight's games but I'll leave Mr Rhodes to post the details

Is this the one.

South Midlands League Premier Division

Hoddesdon Town 1 Hanwell Town 3

Admission £6 Attendance 70ish

A feisty game at as unwelcoming a ground as I have been to this season. I offered the gateman a £20 note and I suggested giving him an extra pound to make the change easier. He said no so I put the pound back in my pocket, announced I wanted £14 change and then asked me if I had a pound. crazy.gif

I walked to the tea bar and asked for a hot dog, £2.50 as advertised by the hatch. "Could I have a hot dog please?" "No" said the elderly woman behind the counter. The woman behind her piped up and said I could have a cheese or a ham roll, but they weren't doing hot food. So why is it bloody advertised on the menu then? I bought nothing, an explanation or, God forbid, an apology would be nice. The result, as two friends were also present, is lost revenue for the club, both tonight and in the future as we won't be going back. Curious to know if Hoddesdon actually want anyone attending their games...

As for the game, the referee brought the players out at 7.47 and thought it would be a good idea to start at 7.52. Thankfully Hanwell's two first half goals, their determination to be as mean and physical as possible, the Hoddesdon manager's constant whinging and the referee's inability to control the game meant it was eventful on the pitch. Four minutes into the second half, Hoddesdon pulled a goal back from a penalty and then Hanwell had an even more blatant penalty refused at the other end a minute later. The final goal came early in the second half and Hanwell never looked likely to relinquish their lead. Game over at 9.43, total money spent £6. Well done Hoddesdon, a classic example of how not to do customer service.

Or maybe this.

GAME ABANDONED- Handbags broke out after 2 were sent off, 1 each side, and the ref verbally abused by the away captain, who'd been sent off, and totally lost the plot, waving his finger in front of the refss face. I couldn't tell from my view if he deserved to be sent off, but his reaction was shocking, and the league should ban him. Behaviour like that should not be tolerated at any level.

After handbags broke out, the officials retire to the changing rooms, and never return!

Meanwhile all had calmed down on the pitch and the players (who were pretty disgraceful by the way, pushing, shoving, abusing each other, although no serious punches thrown from my view), were awaiting the return of the officials.

Heard ten minutes later they had called it off!!

Where at?

South Mids Premier at Avenue Park, bracketed tick for me having seen Viking Sports there years ago.

London Tigers 0-1 Colney Heath, att 15-20 ish, 3 in, 1 for a programme. 35 Minutes played.

Annoying, lots of football last night I could have attended. Still, counting it as a bracketed tick.

Hopefully London Tigers players have calmed down as we visit there tomorrow.

To be fair, we have never had a problem with them in the past

PREMIER DIVISION

1-3 Hoddesdon Town v Hanwell Town

Roger won't be happy will he to read all these scathing comments about his pride and joy from another Forum:

I haven't been to Hoddesdon Town all season after being told a pack of lies about admission prices when they played their F.A. Cup game at Ware early in the season. They are an arrogant bunch over there and I would prefer to give my admission money to more worthy clubs. I have no plans to visit there in the foreseeable future either. Rant over, glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way about them.

Big fines coming both those clubs way.

Colney Heath FC do seem to have a few thugs playing for them.
